You mean it is Gaijin who is not picky enough! :)
Having unified criteria for all kind of ships would give Arizona and Kronshtadt HE-VT, which will defnitely increase their AA capability considering current their AA is kind of meh.
But at least current status of Renown not having HE-VT is not British-hate, just overall Capital Ship-hate.
I wonder how they will deal with stuff like Iowa that 100% had HE-VT on any AA guns compatible with it
I think, maybe by that point they would allow top ships to have VT
And Again. HMS Renown is the 1944 version. She would have almost certainly had HE-VT after that refit. But nope not there,
AFAIK she is almost out of service and without 4.5’’ turret when VT was in service(which WOWs tech tree Renown stands)
Warspite is good news, but would be better news if she was before Rodney. As Rodney is currently on fixes, Warspite at best would be backup of Rodney, though I think Hood with 6crh APC would fit into this role better.
Based upon the fact we have cruisers as early as 1940 in game armed with HE-VT (HMS Southampton) and Heavy cruisers like HMS Norfolk in a 1943 refit. Tells me this is not the case and Britain very much can and did have HE-VT before 1945 .
HMS Armada has 4.5" HE-VT in a 1943 refit as well.
It is an arbituary balancing decision gaijin has made for “reasons”
What World of Warships has to do with War Thunder is beyond me
‘Getting VT round in destroyer/cruiser and capital ship is different criteria for every nation/ship’ is all I stated and you listen to nothing.
Destroyers/Cruisers getting every round possible to fire. This is not only to British, but also applies to other nations. If they applies same rule as Capital ships, ‘you can only carry round that you really use/or suppose to use by plan’, lots of ships will loose round what they currently use.
It’s not British-hate or Renown-hate. It’s more of Capital ship-hate. But ‘in-game cruisers and destroyers having VT’ cannot be the reason that proves that navy having VT at that timeline.
But again, that is just BS nonsense.
To deny a ship a shell it actually used for “reasons” even though those reasons are totally unfair and unncessary.
Nonsense, but existed for years, and did not get much complaint, and while painful one is indeed more historical.
Lots of balancing and BR changes would need if same rules applies to cruisers&detroyers.
For example, La Gallisonniere would lost it’s AP because it sunk as Vichy-French ship while those AP is American made one which supplied to FNFL.
Another case would be USS Atlanta and Porter/Somers class(except USS Phelps) loosing it’s VT round as earlier one sunk before VT round, and later ships does not supplied HE-AA and HE-VT round because they can’t fire high angles.
So Gaijin choose ‘convinent’ ways to just touch capital ship. Typical Gaijin moment, but hard to give ‘correct’ idea from users too.
It was never denied
So she just doesn’t have it because why?
You say you have no subject
And your brushes all have dried;
But come to Marazion
At the ebbing of the tide.
And look you out to seaward,
Where my Lady battle scarred
Hugs the rock that is more welcome,
Than the shameful breakers yard.
Paint her there upon the sunset
In her glory and despair,
With the diadem of victory
Still in flower upon her hair.
Let her whisper as she settles
Of her blooding long ago,
In the mist than mingles Jutland
With the might of Scapa Flow.
Let her tell you, too, of Narvik
With its snowy hills, and then
Of Matapan, Salerno
And the shoals of Walcheren;
And finally of Malta,
When along the purple street
Came in trail the Roman Navy
To surrender at her feet.
Of all these honours conscious,
How could she bear to be
Delivered to the spoiler
Or severed from the sea ?
So hasten then and paint her
In the last flush of her pride
On the rocks of Marazion,
At the ebbing of the tide.
Lt-Cmdr R A B Mitchell.
The report got accepted few months ago afaik and acknowledged. It was just never added.
Any news on the accuracy for 15in? There is no way we can reenact her 24km hit with the horrible state of BL Mk1s in this game.
Less Planes is a good thing
Its getting an accuracy buff
That sounds very promising then
