Good
Boat. I approve.
Just wait until you are an old man.
With 6Crh coming to Renown, can it also get HE-VT for its secondaries?
Another boring ship, fix the balance on the nrb, damage maps, etc., and then add new ships, even if it would be a yamato or a bismarck, it still doesn’t change the fact that the ships will fight side-by-side at a distance of 8-10km, which makes a lot of ships lose their sense and their armor doesn’t work.
HE-VT. For a top tier British ships secondaries?
Blashpemy, that would be too OP.

Very nice but when is royal sov going to the correct tree?
A different ship of the R class would be better, as it would avoid having the same ship across multiple TTs. And because the R class are practically identical to each other, there would be no capability gap between the R class in the Russian and British trees.
So weird that we can have Ostwind II doubled into premium section, but it’s “No!” for the same ship introduced to another TT. Typical Gaijin.
Serial mass production vehicles and specific specimens are not the same thing…
Besides, tech tree Ostwind and the Premium one aren’t even the exact same ones- the same way it wouldn’t be the same R class ship across the trees.
How many Ostwind IIs were in serial mass production? The vehicle represented in game isn’t even real lol
Yes and Ostwind II is a single prototype (which existence is also rather questionable btw).
Check again there are 2 Ostwind II, one regular and one premium, the second one only adds cosmetics to the model (like camo net).
But ingame it is depicted as if it had been a serial production vehicle.
That’s why the Premium vehicle is labelled and named differently, looks different, etc.
What I don’t understand is why you want the British R-class to be EXACTLY the one that’s in the Russian tree even though any other R-class would be identical without causing any consistency conflict.
Because they are meant to be different units. It’s not meant to be literally the exact same individual vehicle represented twice.
Kinda like M1A1 HC Click-Bait, Type 90 B Fuji, etc.
The same way there were multiple R-class ships but not multiple specimens of each namesake.
For example; there were multiple Iowa-class Battleships, but there was only one BB-63. So if the Iowa-Class was to be represented ingame via multiple ships, why not do so by adding different members of the class instead of repeating the same one?
Still raises an interseting question of why its not here yet. Unless we get 2x BBs this update. It is strange the delay.
I don’t get it, you’ve just said it:
Both Giulio Cesare and Ostwind II are specimens. By your logic there is exactly nothing wrong in having both Novorossiysk and RN Giulio Cesare in the game.
Because the addition of such ships would provide more options in the TT. Maybe for UK it’s less sensitive, because they have a very large pool of vessels, but for Italy for example it’s more. Imo such vessels or I would say their other iterations should be fine to add, at least as some event rewards. And it’s way more reasonable than copying one-off prototype SPAAG, drawing camo net from imagination and call it a new vehicle just to sell more packs with Tiger copies (which are ok at least because they are exactly mass produced).
What Spanish_Avenger is saying is not that Britain shouldnt get an R-Class but that there is 5 ships of the Line.
HMS Revenge
HMS Resolution
HMS Royal Oak
HMS Royal Sovereign (what is Arkhangelsk)
HMS Ramillies
Only Royal Oak didnt make it through WW2 (being sunk in 1939). So I dont know if the class had any WW2 refits, but if they did that leaves 3 ships of the line without specifically adding Royal Sovereign. Now I also dont necessarily see why it would matter to add the same ship but under 2 different flags/names. but alas Gaijin does not want to do that.
But it is very strange that if this is it for this Update, that Gaijin is leaving Britain without an R-Class for 2 updates and not just adding one alongside either Rodney last update or Warspite this update. Does make me a tad concerned it will be a premium or something (though would actually make quite a decent top tier premium)
I believe the last modification to the R class was in 1943, with the removal of four 6" guns. So it would be preferable to get which ever one Gaijin decides to add in their >1943 modifications as to keep parity with Arkhangelsk.
Or we could get them in their 1942 fit which keeps the extra 6" guns and the extra AA. With naturally the exception of Royal Oak, as her last refit was in 1936 with the addition extra AA.
I personally think that Gaijin is saving the UK’s R class for an easy C&P to give us something later in the year, such that our new ships are spread out over the year rather than all concentrated at one time.
