During this devserver we have discovered that the “Arkhangelsk” loaner version of the HMS Royal Sovereign is being added to the Soviet Blue Water Tech Tree. Now though HMS Rodney is coming this update it would make absolute sense to give Britain it’s original HMS Royal Sovereign Revenge Class Ship pre loan to the Soviets as no differences in hull design occured and no refit took place as far as I am aware. And though it is coming to the game, to have Britain not gain it’s Revenge-Class of the same vehicle and type as USSR is quite unfair for us British Naval players. (This also cutsdown any time or cost that may occur with modelling a new ship of the same class for Britain as you only need to change the name and provide British Naval Flags). This overall would provide a more robust and full update to end 2024 for Britains Blue Water Tech Tree.
If we can gain (as we always do) multiple versions of the same vehicle in many trees for aircraft and tanks, we should also be able to have the same for Naval.

And you guy are already getting Rodnol. Just wait another patch for another battleship, plus you’re not getting Royal Sovereign in the British tree since she’s in the Russian tree.
Don’t argue about the lack of modifications during Russian service, Italy still hasn’t received Julius Ceaser despite how few changes she received in Russian service (the biggest one is that the Russians… painted the deck red).
Why not ask for this patch to be the change were we see the same vehicle in their original nations? Just like the duplicates of vehicles given to others nations vehicles wise.
Royal Sovereign may not have had a famous war history as the Royal Oak (which would be a brilliant event vehicle just like Barham), but it is an interesting part of British Naval history that should be added to the tech tree.
Eh, im not fussed. We are getting the powerhouse that will be HMS Rodney.
Revenge-Class would sit somewhere between Hood and Repulse (if im not mistaken). A good filler but just something else to grind at the moment. Would perhaps either make a better premium or just a filler next update.

Hopefully we get it this update, especially since though yes you can see it as just another vehicle, for us Naval Fans this is the equivilant of adding the OV-10 Bronco into the game, but only for Japan in the Thailand Sub-tree rather than also adding it to USA or Germany this update.
I might also add her famous history with the elevation drive being used for the Lovell Telescope! Which has been used to discover various important observations during it’s existance.
I also just don’t see the point. There’s 5 ships of the Revenge class, there’s no reason to have the ship in two trees. If I played Britain I’d rather have one of the 4 others instead of Royal Sovereign.
I’m more interested in trees with fewer ships getting access to refits as modifications.
Mutsu for example, could (and probably should), get a rank 4 mod that updates her to her roughly 1930 appearance.
Instead of Royal Sovereign, it would probably be better to get a different R Class in their WW2 refit, as the R Class are all pretty similar to each other, just making them slightly unique from each other. I would prefer for us to get Ramillies as I had some family aboard her.
I am also of the thought that a tech tree QE class should’ve come before the R Class, but now the Arkhangelsk has been added to the game in her 44 refit, so its a pretty easy C&P to add to the UK.
Meh, just give us another Revenge class Super Dreadnought Battleship instead of asking for specifically HMS Royal Sovereign (Arkhangelsk), We could get either HMS Revenge, HMS Resolution or HMS Royal Oak (Drachinifel may even play the game if the latter come as they grandfather went down with Royal Oak) instead of demanding a ship to Britain which feels like the demand for Giulio Cesare to be added to Italy even with alternatives already added (e.g: Conte di Cavour Project 1944).

Though I admit adding HMS Revenge the first of it’s class would possibly be a good idea instead in the tech tree if somehow the idea of the Royal Sovereign is not possible.
I think that ship has long sailed mate as there’s already ships with the same name in several trees, ntm as names that could see future ships added with the same name like Churchill, Enterprise, Daring, Leander, Dreadnought an so on…
