I wasn’t aware of the issue with the draft - what would the correct draft for Renown be then?
Just glancing at pictures of the ship during the war it doesn’t look obviously wrong in-game - both seem to have the waterline just a few ft below the top of the anti-torpedo bulge - but again, I may well be wrong/misunderstanding!
Is it really weird though? GJN always ruin british vehicles. Tornado GR.1 gets gimped payload options for precision weapons… F.3 took months to get a functioning radar… F-4J(OKE) is the worst rank 7 air premium for it’s BR…The entire Chally 2 series having 60 tons of wet toilet paper as protection…
Sure but are you sure in every scenario you were shot equal amount of times, exposing yourself equal amount of time, playing on similar maps? I can play 20+ battles and be shot few times by 7.0 stuff and I can play 20 more and be under constant fire from multiple targets. However when you are shooting somebody, you continue fire until it is dead. Also you watch your squadmates fire and they tell you how long it took them. And hood survives much less time on average than majority of 7.0 ships. So nice brag but pretty pointless.
It gives me hope that Gaijin are gonna continue with working on naval so that i might become more popular and better. A japanese cruiser would have made me more excited though ;)
The correct draft would be at the line between the black and grey areas of the ship’s external model in-game. It’s hard to determine this from period photos, as we don’t know how loaded that ship was at that moment, or if she’s near a river estuary(there are rivers near many ports IRL) that would affect the salinity of the seawater and therefore affect the overall bouncy of the ship.
You need to look at official plans and drawings for information on draft, but Gaijin’s external models are usually very correct in this. It’s just real laziness on their coders’ part.
At this point I have one question. Do you repair constantly, when even some minor components broekn? Thats the only way Hood can be survive much less than majority of 7.0 ships, where plenty of ships have danger of shell room explosion, and for Alaska has very high chance of bein one-turn kill by any round that has fuze delay higher than 0.03 seconds.
You can’t be questioning Mag’s research out of all people… He’s responsible for, like, 90% of all the historical bug fixes that have ever happened to ships and boats…
Then again I’ve seen some people complaining that Hood doesn’t even die to a magazine detonation, and a tech mod comfirming it. So… I really don’t know who to listen to.
But all the stuff Mag is showing here are from books and stuff that Gaijin do accept… He knows what he’s doing, and that’s how he’s responsible for 90% of all the historical bug fixes that have ever happened to ships and boats, and how he went from being just a normal player like us to becoming a tech mod.
