All bb are vulnerable when stock these days until you get wet ammo upgrade. Until then any turret fure can almost instantly detonate ammo. This is the same with every battleship in every tree, i have unlocked all but a few to experience this. I myself also close the distance and tey to bet to about 5 to 6 km of the bigger guns and from there i get better hit potential for the few guns and better penetration below the water lines as well as sloped hulls on new hulls become less effective.
Yeah, just getting those upgrades feels genuinely impossible. I get little more than what RP I can generate from spamming the seconday guns. Ammo wetting being T4 upgrade, means its going to take a hell of a long time to farm out. Prehaps that needs to be moved down to T2. Im going to officially wait to render judgement, but I dont think it belongs at BR7. Combine with all its other in-accuracies, and its just a poor addition at the moment.
Would just be nice to get a British vehicle addition that was actually finished upon arrival for a change FRS1 still isnt finished and its been 8 months

The stock grind in naval is just pain at the higher ranks, i had one look at the current draft of Renown and am avoiding playing it. I will just continue to spade my way through the later cruisers, which are a br mess in their own form. But looking at it there are just a bunch of issues with renown and she has been added in a DOA state.

I suggest playing it before dismissing it. Myself and others are really enjoying it. Make up ypur own mind on it, you might be surprised because i was.
Right now i only have up to the york unlocked, so i dont much fancy playing it with tiger as my only backup XD

I could have been more legitimate to speak that this ship was “absolutely great” with that one single battle. But I know this was a fake impression because I played a lot of battles both in it and as opponent. And I couldn’t help telling you the story of hordes of Renowns on both team disappeared in the first few minutes, and how I sit in Arizona and ammorack Renowns like playing a click and remove game.

Huh? Underwater shots are easier the longer the range, since the higher angle of fall means the shell needs to travel through less water to reach the same depths. Sloped decks also become more effective the closer the range, not less, again due to the angle of fall.
I’m personally just gonna get AP and the repair/firefighting parties, and try targeting destroyers and light cruisers in EC instead of playing normal matches. I feel like that would be at least somewhat better than being blown up by other 6.7/7.0s left and right.
Can you, damn it, finally give Germany battleships of the Second World War? I personally am already tired of seeing American and UK battleships every single patch
We literally have scharnhorst setting the meta standard right now. You want bismarck when most of the countries are still on ww1 warships with midwar or ww2 refits? You gonna have to wait.

Scharnhorst is not a Battleship, he was given this designation because of his characteristics, at the moment I personally, waiting for Tirpitz, at least
For me playing it as a 2nd spawn after iron duke class works the best. People arent actively looking for a renowns in 2nd half of the match so you can feel more safe. It is gonna be a slow grind tho but I have time.

Doesnt matter in game. Tirptiz is Bismarck class with more AA and better fire controls so you gonna wait for some time.

This is understandable, but the problem is that this battleship will be added after military modernization, which already speaks of unfair competition
I think it is too early to talk about modernisation. We just got bravy that can barely damage cruisers on its own BR while getting one shotted by them. New missile changes also work in favor of gunships. Im expecting more missiles being added but I doubt they will be deadly enough to reliably kill even a 5.7 heavy cruiser, so battleships have nothing too worry about for now.
I think germany could expect soon o-class and d-class ships which would be a nice addition and also a ww2 design.
Considering where the project is heading, it’s better to worry. So the O-class ships were not laid down, only engines were made for it (If I’m not mistaken), so the chance of appearance is small. And what kind of D-class ships? I haven’t heard anything about them
As for what will be the best ship in the German development branch, it will be the H-40B, since it was at least laid down and should have characteristics similar to the Yamato
and no H-40B was never laid down. I have actually no clue what that designation is, since there are only H-39 and H41+. Of which only H-39 was laid down and could be compared to Nagato class, nowhere near Yamato.

Germany really isn’t struggling since they have Scharnhorst and Bayern. And modern turtle back battleship with modern 380s is last thing we need now.
But I think Ersatz Yorck or Mackensen battlecruisers would be quite interesting aditions even though they are just WW1 projects.

No. Germany is totally fine as is. They have THE meta WW2-era battleship right now(yes Scharn is a battleship, especially in WT where DPM is more important than alpha damage, and most engagements happen at close ranges where the lower pen of the 28cm shells is not a hindrance). What more do you want? That is a true “Germany suffers” statement.
Tirpitz is way too powerful for to be introduced any time soon.
How is that unfair? Nevada is already in her modernized form, and Texas will be worse than her in every way.
Nah. Only two hulls of the H-39 design were laid down. And H-39 will not be similar to Yamato any any way.
The best ship for the Germans will still be Bismarck/Tirpitz even if H-39 is added. As I said above, DPM is more important than alpha damage, and H-39’s armor improvement over Bismarck/Tirpitz(which already have excellent armor for WT naval environment) is minimal.
