Really mediocre ‘gotcha’ you have there, I can talk about the statistical differences here because I own most top tier airframes in the game, and have tested/flown F-2A on friend’s account, achieving a rough 2.5:1 K/D in about 40 matches (while spaded)

With a fictional HMD, yes it is. The F-2A is statistically, and physically superior to EVERY 13.7 F-16, so why should japan get a double standard in balancing there?

Maybe the f16c is close but 6 spamrams and HMD makes it better.
F2 has a better radar that still never gives you the target you want. Still prefers to lock enemies or missiles. Still spend 90% of the game smashing reset radar boresight button. Id take rubbish radar with HMD all.day.
With hmd it deserves 13.7. Without its still 13.7 even undeserved as theres nowhere to put it as F2 13.0 exists.
Sounds a lot like cope tbh, you have a better radar, better missiles, better flight model, equivalent or better engine, the same or better CM count.
The JAS-39 is also limited to 4 worse ARH missiles and 2 worse IR missiles, less thrust, a worse radar, worse FM, etc.
Yet you aren’t claiming it’s the worst 13.7, strange?

I need HMD. Trust me i tried to like.the F2 but no HMD, no bueno.
Dont tell me its not an absolute stuggke trying to target in a group of enemies… with HMD all.missiles could of been shot at 6 different targets before the F2 even gets 1 lock.
While HMD is a great feature, it’s AESA, correct radar management and good positioning can bring your WVR ARH performance on par with an HMS equipped jet

Iv just rebinded reset radar boresight key as i find to be smashing it more than flares while using the f16 at 13.3.
No HMD at 13 3 is np. At 13.7 you are vs rafale every game… not so easy

No, the F-2 never had HMD.
If you really want the F-2 to be better, push for its missiles to get buffed to irl performance. Or the other minor performance buffs it should recieve like the fm buff or radar buff it could get.
