Historically the MiG 21 Bison should revive the R-77

The MiG-21 Bison when it was first added was incredibly interesting aircraft that was not expected to be added yet. And once players went into the game and looked at its weaponry saw that it was only able to carry 2 R-73(e)s either 2 R-27 R1s or 2 R27 T1s. After some digging by the community they realized that in real life the MiG-21 bison was able to carry the R-77 and was actually fitted on airborne MiG-21 bisons. At that time it was a little preposterous to have a premium aircraft in the game with a Fox-3 missile, but since then we now have the Su-30 mkk and mk 2, the F-14D, the MiG 29 9-15 (yes I know it’s a squadron, but still) and many others in different tech trees. And now the MiG-21 bison is not very competitive at 12.3 and could very well use the r77 to make it compatible again but with how it could only carry 4 total missile and only 2 being r77 I personally think it would be a perfect fit to be at a new BR of 13.0 or 12.7 because of the limiting factors of it having a mediocre at best air frame and pretty bad energy retention and the 4 total missiles. AND also not only does Great Britain not have any premiums with a Fox-3 so because of that I believe the MiG-21 bison should be able to receive the R-77.

no.

mig21 againt 14.0 or 13.0 ?
not possible

Sure, move it up to 13.0.

Then it makes room for a decent premium to replace it

That’s why it could br be 12.7

it cant. because will cry bais.

even when there is f14 at 12.7

If the FA2 isnt 12.7, I dont know why the Mig-21 would be

and its not the only one. Take for example the F-5TH TCU. Also 13.0

Well then again I could be 13.0 or 12.7

I might be wrong, Su-33 is the highest battle rating airplane limited to semi-active radar homing missiles in-game, even then it’s a awkward position but can be easily outcomed by the amount of available missiles, on the contrary MiG-21 has very limited carrying capabilities when compared to a Flanker, which could explain why isn’t given such weapons. On top of that battle rating 13.0 for any R-77 carrier with competent radar to assist the missile is unthinkable on this current compression situation.

Same happens to the MiG-21 2000, an israeli modernisation of the long-living frame, using israeli technology it should be able to operate normally more advanced air-launched weapons such like the Derby active-homing missile and probably more but falls short on this awkward position, it can be better but being “better” means higher battle rating whereas the efforts to make it “better” will render the vehicle way too much weak to compete with more advanced opponents.

13.0 is the highest BR for any aircraft with only IR and/or SARH. But its not the only one at 13.0

Other 13.0s with only SARH

F-2A ADTW has Aim-7M
Mig-29G / Mig-29 (9-13) has R-27ER
Gripen A has Skyflash DF
Mirage 4K has 530Fs
