Japan has no connection to the K9 SPH or to any other Korean vehicles thats why.
its more about the fact that you need to find a logical place for it which Japan isnt (unless you wanna give every country random vehicles). The US and France are these logical places but like you mentioned the US would be unnecessary so France would be the only logical left, however i would prefer an Unified Korean tree.

- US has a huge number of it’s own vehicles that weren’t even added yet, just like with russia there is no point in giving them ANY sub tech tree.
- If adding South Korea to Japan is more random (and it isn’t) than adding South Korea to France then I demand to add Switzerland Sub Tech Tree to China.

They might have reduced the % bonus from normal tanks though, would be very Gaijin.

France has assisted South Korea in the development of the K31 (crotale), KUH-1 (developed from AS-322) ans LAH (developed from EC-155). So there is not illogical about this beside Japan getting these vehicles they have no connection to.

Ehh… adding SK to JP is to fill up their damn tech tree which after WW2 is literally empty, Type 90(B), TKX, TKX (P), Type 16 (P), Type 87 RCV (P), Type 74 (F) are all just copy pasta vehicles that sole purpose of existing is to not make Japan a tech tree where you have Four vehicles at Rank VI and VII, furthermore there are only two vehicles for 9.3 lineup, another two for 8.3, two for 7.3, one for 7.7, three for 6.7 and so on, there is huge lack of vehicles and br lineups.
EDIT: You have premium F-4EJ which is just F-4EJ with special camo or F-16AJ JP never used, Kisarazu which is just copy of AH-1S with weeb skin.
Adding SK to JP is to fill those gaps which FR does not have as many as JP.
Also, while helicopters are nice, the LAH is developed from Eurocopters as is Z-9 (different variants), K31 as you said is just Crotale FR already has, so if you want another Crotale with different flag in stat card then here:

I’m sorry but whatever argument you will use, I will not agree and neither do I with unified Korean Tech Tree as that would be nothing more than copy-paste vehicles of russia and us for most of the tech tree, in other words you would have Chinese tech tree with unique vehicles appearing not until higher ranks of V or VI.
So essentially you saying connection don’t matter and Japan should get these vehicles regardless? If so why not ask for Indian vehicles to avoid complaints as you already insisting on giving Japan an random country.
However the fact that you guys aren’t looking for an alternative solution but instead jump towards South Korea immediately. Japan has exported arms to many other SE Asian countries like Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and more, these countries will fill most of Japans needs in Ground and Air.
EC-155 is the Eurocopter but it doesn’t change the fact that France (Israel as well) has actually done something for the ROK Armed Forces unlike Japan which has done absolutely nothing for ROK Armed Forces yet they deserve these vehicles according to you.
If the Unified Korean Tree is Copy n Paste according to you then you can highlight and elaborate as to why it’s Copy n Paste because players like to call out vehicles Copy n Paste without any explanation.

Exactly the reason why i asked you to elaborate, it’s clear that you have no detailed knowledge on North and South Korean vehicles and claim things without even knowing if it’s true (sources) then you again wanna insult me.
Beside that the MiG-15, F-86 and M48s have been modified making their performance different, its however clear that you can not distinguish modified vehicles/aircraft from Copy n Paste.

Man we let them snooker us this time didn’t we? The “economy changes” were a red herring to reduce RP and SL multipliers, the net result being the grind doesn’t change. What a sneaky, dishonest and unethical thing to do.
A 24% decrease would mean you lose a quarter of your RP. That’s a 6% decrease. You wouldn’t even have noticed it if you hadn’t looked.
The monkey paw was putting things in folders but than entirely negating the RP reduction by increasing the ranks of other vehicles and increasing their RP and SL at the same time, entirely or mostly negating the RP gains, and then fully negating it by adding the new vehicles and shifting some vehicles to the end of the line to add an unnecessary end of line penalty.
If they reduced the RP on top of that I can’t use the words I’d want to because they decided to disable the profanity filter on the forum.
Besides, Gaijin has figured out a long time ago that people primarily look at repaircosts, and that they can easily mess with vehicle multipliers and mode multipliers without people noticing, wouldn’t be the first time they lower the repaircost of a vehicle whilst also lowering the SL multiplier of a vehicle which effectively lowers the players income but players were still excited because they take everything at face value.
Yeah there is no problem with it being .7 higher than the G6 or Auf1, despite having gen 2 thermals and a laser rangefinder, AND a better HE shell than the Auf1. It’s the playerbases fault for existing in the presence of paypigs.
