Back in 1944, American forces captured a working German King Tiger (Tiger II) in France, near La Gleize. The tank was studied and is still on display today.
It would be great to see this added as an American event vehicle in War Thunder. It’s based on a real historical event and would give U.S. players a fun and unique tank to use without affecting balance, since it could stay as a rare, limited vehicle.
We don’t need more captured tanks, SIM’s already chaotic enough already. There’s plenty of vehicles that can be added for events without pooling from captured display tanks.
Please god no we have enough. The US still has hundreds of prototypes etc that would be far more interesting and fitting than a captured Tiger 2H.

We’ve already watered down the unique variety of nations enough as it is. (Kungstiger was equally a mistake).
If people have an itching to play a Kingtiger then the German tech tree is sitting right there.

Gaijin implementing it as a BP prem was the mistake, not the tank itself. The Swedish TT only has a few options for heavy tanks
America also has captured MiG-15, 17, 21, 23, and 29s alongside some Su-27s. If we start adding every captured vehicle to the game, we start having major problems.
That being said: America doesn’t need the Königstiger whatsoever. There are countless unique vehicles America could be given instead.
I assume you are posting this because you are a US main and want to play with the Tiger II without any real work, in which case I recommend to you:
Just go buy the Sla.16
Also, you aren’t a PSN or Live acc, just go buy the Kungstiger. Swedish teams/players are so much better than American mains could ever wish to be, you’ll have a much more fun time, but the Kungstiger does require a little more skill than the H due to a weaker turret face (just a result of the II (P))

See that utter mess that would insure if you gave UK not only all of its lend lease aircraft but also all of the captured aircraft evaluated by either the RAF or RAE.

This is why captured or leased vehicles should at minimum be modified to have different performance or fill in gaps where nothing domestic can.
Have to agree with the others, america and the game doesnt need more captured vehicles, their 6.7 lineup is already quite good. The only mahor nation id support 1 or 2 captured vehicles to is britain as they are the only major tree without a single captured vehicle and they have so many famous vehicles they could have.
In most part though i only support captured vehicles for minor nations which lack any tanks in the role it would fill.

captured vehicles from germany should be in the trees of nations that captured them. If germany suffers so much I’m sure they wont mind their totally not busted vehicles going to other trees
(it will also fix the undertiering issue of german stuff as soon as brit mains het hold of Tiger 131 and the REME panther)
My thoughts on captured and tested, as event/BP rewards primarily(their are a few I have exceptions for).
As they’d make better rewards then locking unique and/or vehicles not from a nation that makes up the tree behind them.
