Hesh review

HESHs main issue is that it either doesn’t “penetrate” armour it absolutely should, its a dice roll every time or it does but then wont trigger overpressure in situations where it should.

its reload really isn’t too bad and I don’t find the weak turret too bad, angle and you block 50 cal and from range bounce 20mm+ My main issue with the shell is its poor consistency. I can shoot a driver hatch that’s 50mm thick and get a non pen when really it should be blown in and the whole crew pulped.

165mm HESH vs soft turret tiger 2, blew a hole through it very easily. In-game it isn’t a kill shot when it really ought to have been

HESH is also missing the “scabbing” that its famous for and just has a small spall scatter which doesn’t reflect the amount of shrapnel it would realistically generate.

Add its scabbing and make it consistent and 165mm and 183mm will blow every conventional armour tank in game to pieces in a single semi decent shot

I do love it when my 183mm hesh does literally nothing to the panthers upper front plate.

I love it when my 183mm hesh only tracks a BMP

HEAt got a buff after some time, but now they’ve touched something and it’s nerfed again.

What did you expect, HESH has been inconsistent fro more than two years now. If you want HESH to actually do something just aim for the lower front plate or lower side plate. And that doesn’t guarantee that it’s going to work anyways.

The only buff I found to the HESH is that the 165mm and 182mm HESH usually destroy tanks if you hit their wheels, even the Maus.
I find it funny that gaijin adds this absurd mechanic of killing by hitting the wheels, but leaving the damage ridiculous or null for all HESH when you hit areas where you should destroy the enemy.

Thats what i’m saying, HESH should kill almost in every part because of it’s composition. But you can only kill by hitting lower plates. Like HE.

No, really, that’s what I’ve been explaining since the beginning, but well seen.

Lol, my bad.

so yeah hesh not realistic and very very bad in games. The overpressure don’t work to

Hello , just to know, have you started to think about the complaint for the HESH because gajin takes a little time to release their update.

It unfortunately can only really be filed after the next major update due to the physics changes and all.

This is how hesh should be. I challenge anyone else who tells me otherwise. https://youtu.be/NKGmK7j01uc?si=IXjTYOlb_CQoXcQf

and also a rather weird thing, the hesh on war thunder mobile works correctly the overpressure is applied well but how it should really be is like the video I sent. I think that would be something to show to gajin for the report on the hesh that you will do in addition.

The video is mostly correct it wouldn’t over pressure the IS but it would send massive slabs of steel flying through the tank.

[you can also tell them that on war thunder mobile hesh already works much better than on pc because it has overpressure

holy shit, i wish hesh still worked like that, that’s awesome.

Well, that’s how it should work, but we’ll have to wait a little longer while Matrixrupture takes care of making a reasoned complaint.
