but so does anyone know how many kg of explosive the fv4005 has. But this hesh is so unrealistic it’s crazy.

thank you , you help everyone like that especially me because this my tanks prefer before (the hesh). Provide all the necessary information and let’s try to bring as many people as possible to realize that the hesh is zero because on the x-ray on war thunder it looks like everything is fine but in the game it’s something else.

thank you yes I have played 800 games in fv4005 so I know a lot about it this case is 2 years ago really it was so much fun that’s why I am an extremely frustrated player.

but just to agree 22kg of explosive for only 65mm of overpressure which also doesn’t even work in the games it’s really not much for what it is because shells which have 15kg of explosive like the type 99 can overpressure 64mm. end 1mm more penetration for 7kg more I find it shameful.

Not yet still working on gathering sources and the lot.
In time it will get seen to I am just focused on the new update at the moment as the Harriers are getting an overhaul.

It wasn’t really a good round - there’s a lot of mythology about it.
IIRC it’s real world capability was to penetrate about 1.3 times the shell diameter - virtually every gun that fired it could do better with standard AP, the 180 and 165 being exceptions due to not firing AP of course.
And it is completely defeated by any substantial spaced or composite armour.
the various photos of tanks being demolished by it in trials show that it large calibre HESH could significant explosive damage to externals and vehicle structure, and (again IIRC) the trials of 76mm vs an armoured car showed that it could smash through thin armour just by kinetic energy.
All of which is completely standard for large rounds of any type and not exceptional at all.
in WT it should be just that useful and no more - certainly nothing about it should justify any sort of BR increase - it was a useful round, but not magic!
In game it currently detonates on side skirts.
It doesn’t penetrate but creates a shockwave that breaks and deforms the steel leaving sever structural damage even with something as small as the 76mm
They shot a T-34 with the 76mm IIRC it knocked it out frontally with a single hit.
well I’ll let you try the 165mm or 183mm hesh in the game. I think you’ll stop playing this shell very quickly because it’s ROTTEN. Then yes it may not be a miracle shell but in real life we all know that the 183mm was capable of blowing up everything and that in the game we struggle on tiger 1 and panther.
