Helicopters are truly ruining top tier

Considering top-tier is the ‘forward’ direction of the game, where most new content will be added and where the biggest end-goal lies for every tech tree, the state of it is really abysmal.

Helicopters are absolutely ripping games apart and it makes playing top-tier ground almost impossible. I am the first person to advocate for CAS, but the current state of events in top tier are not justifiable.

The most simple yet effective change you could probably have: MOVE the helipad to the airfield itself, or slightly forward. SP spawn cost remains the same. Add a forward helipad 20km from the battlefield that has a hefty SP cost to spawn at. This will stop the ridiculous ‘fire and land’ meta of helicopter AGM’s and bring some sensibility back into the game.

To avoid turning the thread into a certain argument, I will avoid name dropping a certain helicopter and a certain missile.

For me helipads should stay the same, most of helicopter players dont know that distance its their best advantage, because saclos missiles have lower range and the missile takes more time to reach the target. (Talking about FnF helis). So in my point of view, putting helipads far, its more of a buff than a nerf to me.

So the best solution its to fix the LDIRCM, so you could actually kill helis with your IIR missiles.
