Helicopters are fregile in RL and its only fair to model it in WT too. They where to OP without those moduls.
Being fragile (which is debatable from helicopter to helicopter, case by case) =/= disabling RCS with a single shot in completely unrelated area (even better if said helicopter have cargo/passenger compartment). Although Snail released server side update which makes things not so doom and gloom
Rocket rushers were never OP (unless you and your team collectively experiencing tunnel vision) and ATGM slingers just hover outside of range of engagement of anything but SPAAs (and not all)

Dont forget that the flight model of thee helicopters is an absolute FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFing shitshow where if one engine gets destroyed in the Apache for example the awesome flight model gets GLUED TO THE FLOOR even though Apache is quite known for its flyability with one engine. Just a fing joke nothing more. And with every day it just keeps getting worse
