The War Thunder community has always been told that changes are made in the name of balance. For instance, when the Puma was moved to a higher tier because it was considered overpowered, it was said to be for the sake of balance. However, it’s painfully clear that helicopters are nowhere near being balanced and constantly nerfed. (What is yaal doin gaijin team💀💀)
You guys already acknowledge this as players are allowed to research helicopters through tank trees because progressing through helicopter trees alone is extremely difficult. If it’s that hard, why is the focus always on nerfing helis rather than improving their core mechanics and gameplay experience?
Here are five major quality-of-life improvements that would significantly improve gameplay—especially for VR players—and help address the imbalance and frustration:

Fix Broken Hitboxes There are invisible hitboxes scattered throughout maps that helicopters frequently collide with. These include small arches or overhangs where the model appears passable, but the invinsible hitbox causes an instant crash. Yaal should Clean up and accurately align all environmental hitboxes to match visible geometry.

Improve Object Rendering (Lamp Posts, Poles, etc.) Low-detail or late-rendering objects like lampposts or street poles are often not visible until the last second (sometimes complete invinsible), making it nearly impossible to avoid them. Ensure all collision-relevant objects render fast enough, especially during low-altitude flight. This may or may not be my pc, but alot of vr players have this problem
3.SAS Mode Switching Currently, switching from one SAS mode (e.g., Dampening) to Manual Control requires cycling through three other modes: Dampening → Auto Leveling → Hover Mode → Manual Control. (for lahatut) This takes too much time and distance mid-flight. Allow players to select a specific SAS mode directly or implement a customizable control bind for immediate switching to desired modes.

Allow Rearming at Capture Points Helicopters already at extreme risk when entering combat—have no way to rearm unless they fly all the way back to base. (This is specially for lahatut as it only carrys 7 USABLE ungided rockets) Enable helicopters to rearm at captured points, especially after surviving combat. It would be a well-earned reward for players who manage to stay alive in hostile airspace.

FIX THE TEAMKILLING ISSUE. Us vr players constantly get killed by temamets purley because we are flying to low to the ground, the worst part is that you punish us from being teamkilled(What kind of nonsense logic is this) I should not have to wait 8 minutes because a teammate killed me.
