Helicopter ARMs should have no SP cost (RB version)

are there people who seriously think reducing sidearm SP cost for helis would be a problem?

there is one heli that gets it, and it takes the same pylon as its actual anti tank missiles

there is pretty much no situation where you should bring sidearm over hellfires

Technically 2 but they are the same model

Incorrect. They only work when you actually lock a target

I remembering killing you when you were in CS SA5

No this is wrong, if SACLOS missile is fired without a radar or irst lock, it will still give a launch warning, which is the same for 99% of the cases

Launch warning is completely separate. It emits a different radio signal that cannot be detected by ARMs currently

Ah okay, my bad

Hmm. I’ll have to check that out. In any case, if that’s true, this missile becomes even more of a piece of junk for insane cost.

No, they don’t think.

lmao, if you tried out AGM-122 even once, u would know that it is nowhere near a “hard counter” to SPAA that it faces

not to mention ur losing 4 hellfires PER agm-122 so ur just crippling urself

Are you absolutely sure that SACLOS missile guidance signal = tracking radar signal?

It still gives a launch warning either way, regardless of if you have locked the target or not.

yes but thats not what i meant.

I meant whenever SACLOS missile guidance signal is the same as tracking radar signal so that ARM can lock on it.

As in, if im tracking target via optical track without engaging tracking radar and i launch a missile, whenever ARM that can only pick up my tracking radar has anything to pick up, if you get what i am saying.

kinda late for me to try to put it in words.

Apparently not

missed that, but its basically the thought i was trying to convey.

Wish we had a mode without all those CAS pests.

Honestly i’d take it if it means that CAS would be cheaper to spawn in the normal mode

That might result in way less targets for you.

It won’t

How can you be so sure.
