Heli pad AA

I am and have always been talking about spawn campers in general.
You diverting from that in your answers does not invalidate what I wrote.

Sorry but this is what You have been replying to:

Not the comment about overall spawncampers. So just because You refuse to talk about the thing You have been replying to doesn’t mean that the whole discussion will turn into that.

Either remove AI AA at airport in GF RBs, or just give it to all units at the spawn. Not to mention of giving the same benefits of spawn as aircrafts have.

That is already a reply to one of my posts, in which I said that ground vehicles can use their arsenal just after spawning and aircraft can’t.

It was a reply to a post of yours that already ignored what I posted.

I have specified what units don’t stand a chance and which should be taken into consideration.

Your refusal to talk about it doesn’t mean they don’t exist.

As I have said:
“Either remove AI AA at airport in GF RBs, or just give it to all units at the spawn. Not to mention of giving the same benefits of spawn as aircrafts have.”

This is true, but you refuse to acknowledge that vehicles with turrets can use those turrets to defend themselves after spawning (also against tanks camping their spawn), while any fighter is defenseless for the first 30-60 seconds after spawning.

Edit: I hate autocorrect

Of course they can, against other ground units and I have never said that they can’t.

As tanks without mounted MGs or ones with limited angle are defenseless for the entire battle against the air. Why only aircrafts get special treatment?

To be frank there is a lot I would like to change about spawn protection, including for tanks, but most of that would require fundamental changes in map/mission design.

That’s already how it is in the game. Been that way for a few updates.

Close helipad AA just serves as a directional marking, while the AA for the farther one dealt damage.

Of course, people still paid zero attention and after enough of the Kamov players getting spawncamped - Yours truly had a hand in it - Gaijin also introduced the detection areas so players could see if enemy aircraft were in the vicinity of the helipads and AF, at all altitudes.

The detection areas does not go far. this whole day players would hover just outside the detection zone and as soon as you take off in your heli they would shoot you. It would be nice if Gaijin bring back AA cover for this reason.

Why not just give Helis spawn protection?

the AA at the closest heli pad did 0 damage and was only effectively a warning system, now the warning system just shows them on the map. So it was never really there anyway.

Hear me out on this…

What if we have no timer that ticks off in spawn (you are immune to enemy fire) until you leave the protected area. Once you leave you can not return back inside spawn to receive immunity again. You will not be protected. Now some will say “well people will just stay in spawn and shoot everyone across the map…” Spawn locations needs to change so that it would be impossible to shoot across the map. You can only shoot out towards the people who is camping spawn areas.

Just my two cents.

Stop turning every single thread in to a “no planes in GRB!” thread. You’re a broken record. Stop.

What does AI AA has to do with no planes in GRB?

Just a lazy case of Gaijin refusing to add proper coded AA.

Your comment is just another one of your 'whaaa planes in ground!" comments. Stop. And stop pretending otherwise too. You’ve been doing this for years.

Sorry but if You have some personal issues rather than talking about the topic, You should be using PMs.

What I was talking about is AI AA in GF RBs mode. I won’t be replying to another comments that are not on topic.

They’ve never been able to ballance airfield AA. It’s either too strong, or useless. No middleground…

Imho it should be warning shots with a low chance of doing damage to show you that you entered an area that you shouldn’t be in and then at 2-3km from the airfield the AAA fire should start becoming really dangerous.

That’s cause it’s hits. The only way to fix that type of flak is to make it function like actual flak and have other calibers that start firing if you get nearby. But as a deterrent and not all of it will target you if there’s more than 1 target.

For Helipad AA->Machine Gun and light missile engagement are treated with the same mind set. Apparently those this is too hard for Gaijin which is why they stopped bothering with the idea when a lot of us thought it was gonna replace airfield AA with M163’s, M247 etc.
