When I’m flying both the KA-50 and KA-52 on ground RB, my camera is able to lock onto targets and my gun will shoot at them as long as I’m pointing roughly in that direction. But very soon after that, if I fly up and break the lock to turn back around and try to relock the camera on my target, it just doesn’t lock on anymore. I’ve no idea what I could be.
If I’m not making any sense, I’ll try explain it better. I’m flying high towards an enemy ground target. I’ll go to my camera view and lock it onto an enemy tank and start firing while I’ve gone back to the 3rd person camera view. When I’ve flown past the target, the camera breaks it’s lock as the camera can’t point behind me. So I’ll turn around and try to relock the camera back onto the target, and it just won’t do it. I can get it to focus on a point and stay on that point, but it won’t recognise enemy targets to stay locked on anymore.
This is happening on pretty much every match now. I’ve tried going lower and flying slower. It happens when the weather is clear and there are no obstacles.
It’s still happening and I can’t figure out why. It’s not even trying to lock the same target, it’s any target once my lock breaks due to obstruction, it won’t lock again after that. I don’t understand.

After spraying some 30mm out and locking one or two times, I locked on to my target & started to fire. Send off a few rockets, then I pull up. I then try to lock onto something else and it fails. You can see the lines on the cross hair appear and disappear to show I’m hitting the lock key. My lock window spazzed out a bit for some reason and moved up. I pull up again, look down to try to lock on multiple times to the guy that’s shooting at me and it fails again. I then die.
I appreciate it’s hazy due to the storm, but this happens regardless of the weather.
Spazzing out lock window is not new; it is so frustating when it happens, and I can actually confirm it happened to me a couple of days ago in the Z-11WA.
I don’t know why it didn’t lock in that case, I probably don’t know it because it’s a way of playing helicopter I don’t like, and so it never happened to me.
Very weird, probably a bug.

Just played a couple of games trying to mimic your tactics, beside the fact this helicopter is incredibly toxic, everything works fine on my end.
Have you tried to reset your commands and rebind them? Maybe something is wrong with the lock on button.
Thanks for giving it a go. Mine just keeps doing it, both the KA-50 and KA-52. Once I’ve locked and broken off, I just cannot relock again. Even after I’ve returned to base for repairs, it won’t let me lock again.
I will try to reset some things and seeing how that works out.
It’s incredibly frustrating and is leading to me losing the heli a lot faster than I otherwise would.
What do you mean it’s incredibly toxic? Because it’s so lethal? It is pretty hardcore and does usually take a lot of shooting down. I’ve taken 3 missiles before and made it back to base, and I love that the tail can be shot off and you can still fly it lol. But ultimately, if the enemy team has decent AA I don’t last for long.
