Can we talk about the Heli grind? this is absolutely DISGUSTING to do, what do u mean it takes 360k RP for a 9.3 Chopper, wich i have to grind with a Chopper that possesses no ATGMS or is agile “BuT yOu CaN uSe ThE gRb Rp To GrInD” yeah no, cause i need those to grind my tanks
Heli PVE. Put on a movie, pop some boosters, and grind away.
Sure, 3 hours to get 15k rp because there will be a load of KA-52s and premium apaches etc. making it impossible for me to get anything done, been there already
Never seen someone saying that playing helicopters in ground battles is a the best way to get its modules, if not that’s the place you bring helicopters with enough modules to play a decent match. As @Exocetta said, Helicopter PvE mode is the only way, you’ll have to go through Mi-28NM and AH-64E sniping stuff accross the map but that’s how the matchmaking work. Fly to a base and keep farming it. From my experience, those top tier helicopters rarely target bases unless they also don’t have missiles to clear up ground targets. Helicopter PvE mode has no true matchmaking, and the gameplay loop is stale, I don’t think Gaijin is planning to improve the gameplay, neither the rewards to get modules faster. This is a situation you’ll have to deal with because everyone that has a top helicopter, had to go through this at some point I’m sure.
Buy top premium and Heli PvE. It wasn’t designed to be enjoyable for a reason. Helicopters are the worst grind out of all in War Thunder.
In terms of grinding the heli itself, just play ground. Do not bother with heli PVE it is just a waste of time.
When it comes to grinding the mods I can only recommend ground assault arcade. When you win you earn ~7k RP every 20 minutes with premium time. Rewards aren’t based on kills but purely time. Makes it really easy to plan ahead and is just super predictable.
