Howdy, Today, I want to talk about why HEAT, HESH, and ATGMs break through the UFP of Abrams
In short, Abrams’s ufp is 83 degrees, and I’ve only recently noticed that HEAT can penetrate Abrams’s armor, which is impossible in reality (which is why it’s angled)

The sources I provided (TsNII-48, 1947 and Journal of Applied Mechanics and Technical Physics, 2007) both conclude that at angles >80°, shaped charge jets either ricochet or fragment, and do not reliably penetrate UFP of Abrams
Pls gaijin do smth about that, thanks for improving the lower front hull panel (which could really help) and then replacing the standard shells with stronger ones, making the improved hull armor useless again but at the moment I have shown you a source that confirms my words, so please at least do something about UFP
