with the new weather that appeared after the October 22GB patch, planes became really difficult to shoot down. Now the plane suddenly appears 300-400 meters out of the void and I just don’t have time to fire at it. It looks like fogs and black clouds have been added as a new way to deal with spaa. hehe
but it’s even more interesting…in its own way…
Go play world of tanks…
This is WAR thunder.
CAS makes the game much more diverse, just like the ability to play SPAA.
As I argued before, this is not the kind of realism that makes the game better and more fun.
Just watched the youtube commercial of war thunder.
Not a single frame showing a scene that is NOT with clear weather and full visibility LOL.
Go play air modes…
This is GROUND realistic battles.
CAS is unbalanced
The problem here is that these photos are taken in PERFECT conditions… Military displays, or formations for events are often preformed in as near perfect conditions as possible… but, even then, they will still have some hazy conditions to deal with…
They wont be taken under normal conditions, since they do not make for good promotional photos…
The Developers will continue to tweak the weather system as time goes on
This is even one of the photos that you linked
And as i said before, on your monitor that can display 256 levels per color channel, this is not the kind of realism that makes the game better.
No one needs a hazy scene where the contrast is zero, colors are faded to nothing, and your eyes hurt trying to see anything.
Its not unbalanced.
Funny that no one has problem with CAS who is also flying.
You all basically just crying because you dont have planes or dont know how to use it.
You seriously think that a fog in a dry desert at NOON with full sunshine is normal?
No the photos are not taken in perfect conditions. They are taken in TYPICAL weather conditions.
My 6 K/D in F4U-4B made only in GRB tells other story
Better check his stats before making such statements.
yea this new haze and fog is disgusting
Haze is not Fog… they are both different weather conditions
And there will be more variation in the weather conditions as time goes on… but also there will more or less still be some kind of hazy conditions still in place since it does provide some kind of cover for ground units
The whole point of Ground forces in the first place is to have everyone in close quarters combat… the Devs do not really want players hanging out at extreme range combat, nor at 20,000 - 50,000+ feet bombing ground forces
So, the Haze does help to keep players in somewhat close quarters combat
Exactly. Any kind of realistic low visibility requires changes to tactics and plans on the fly, and some people just can’t adjust. I 100% disagree with OP of this thread here and he definitely doesn’t speak for me. I think the game is looking pretty good these days, could even have more cloud and low-viz games. There’s a balance to be struck of course, but I like a CQB in the fog once in a while, and to say no player ever wants that is really assuming too much.
When I made this post every 2nd game was ultra low visibility.
Now they dialed it back significantly.
Yep, it’s really been unfortunate.
Haze is realistic and shows up in game quite good already. I like it more than perfect sunshine each and every match.
