There are reports they have accepted from years ago they are still to action/implement so don’t hope for a quick fix.
Apparently the bug report was actioned, however, it did not have the intended result and was reopened.
So gaijin seemed to think it was fixed, but it turned out it wasn’t correctly fixed. Now the dev server is closed I imagine they are working full time to prepare things for the next update (which is very soon) rather than working on bug reports.
I imagine it will be fixed, but possibly as late as with the next major update (which isn’t really that far away)
When will this update arrive? I was really excited to use the Hawk 200 as a light fighter for dogfights, however, the fighter came without weapons and with much worse flight performance than expected. I have to settle for the Phantom FG1 for now.
The update will probably come in around a month, with the dev server coming even sooner.
I would personally stop waiting for the fix to arrive and just give it a try now, the plane is still really fun and honestly pretty good. I’ve got as many as 6 kills in a game in the Hawk, and that was while not even fully spaded.
You’ll appreciate the fix more if you play it now, it’s much better than the Phantom FG.1 tier for tier
How much less sustained curve do you think the Hawk 200 has after this correction attempt?
It could come with the dev server. It may never come.
Its frustrating how some reports seem to be at the top of the list and others just… fall through the cracks
More of colossal chasms than cracks when it comes to reports to be honest.
This would be true
I believe its around 20-30% too low
Wow, that’s quite a lot. It seems that Gaijin’s attempt to solve this problem had no effect, since the bug report indicated 25% to 30% less sustained curve.
Gaijin’s strategy really grind my gears. So many planes have slight changes from real life to make them more balanced, but they can’t be bothered to adjust the gun pod model by a millimeter to give the RDA a gun. Really just ridiculous when you think about it.
A grand total of 0 people would be mad if the Hawk got a miniscule inaccurate gunpod. Its almost as if Gaijin wants to people to hate their game.
I would be very angry! That 1000000^-10000000000000000000 nano pixels clipping will make the aircraft unplayable and a horrible addition
What’s even funnier is that Gaijin has far more ahistorical (at best) things in their game, yet the devs have chosen to die on this hill of all things. Genuine “why?” moment…
Ik they are doing everything in their power to not add a avery reasonable balancing change because of some overlapping pixels but are perfectly fine with vehicles that simply don’t exist or have things they never got in real life. Also, if the few clipping pixels is so much of an issue, then I could whip out tons of examples of things slightly clipping in game. It’s genuinely sad what Gaijin has become.
@Smin1080p_WT, any chance you know if there’s been any updates regarding this?
Would be great to know if the devs are actually pursuing that avenue. Also it might be worthwhile asking them about the gunpod. Also on the topic of that now that the update is out any chance we can see what bulge the devs mean on the belly of the Hawks as there still is a bit of confusion on where it is exactly.
That’s the only bulge on it, the belly otherwise looks flat.

oh yeah the su7 should lose its napalm right guys
(btw I cant find a single picture of either of these planes with weapons above)
WHY GAIJIN
tbh im more sad no 25mm adens still personally…
