Do air arcade with it, trust. Maybe sim, but never realistic. If you use Buccaneer S.2 and S.2B in arcade you can grind a lot of RP through bombing and high alt aim-9L slinging.
Even with the not fully doing as they should thing, have to say very much enjoying using the Hawk 200 RDA in GRB as air patrol and giving enemy planes the Hawk 2a business. Only issue being that of usual things like being TKed.
Also, since when could aim9Ls etc lock helis from any angle? Been that long since I tried to lock helis with missiles haha, last time I would try was back when helis had that wierd protection sphere from plane based AAMs so you could only fire when really close/behind them.
That’s sad, I was excited to play with the Hawk 200 RDA this weekend, but it seems like the gaijin hates Hawks, that curve rate report has been up literally since the dev server.
Apparently the bug report was actioned, however, it did not have the intended result and was reopened.
So gaijin seemed to think it was fixed, but it turned out it wasn’t correctly fixed. Now the dev server is closed I imagine they are working full time to prepare things for the next update (which is very soon) rather than working on bug reports.
I imagine it will be fixed, but possibly as late as with the next major update (which isn’t really that far away)
When will this update arrive? I was really excited to use the Hawk 200 as a light fighter for dogfights, however, the fighter came without weapons and with much worse flight performance than expected. I have to settle for the Phantom FG1 for now.
The update will probably come in around a month, with the dev server coming even sooner.
I would personally stop waiting for the fix to arrive and just give it a try now, the plane is still really fun and honestly pretty good. I’ve got as many as 6 kills in a game in the Hawk, and that was while not even fully spaded.
You’ll appreciate the fix more if you play it now, it’s much better than the Phantom FG.1 tier for tier
Wow, that’s quite a lot. It seems that Gaijin’s attempt to solve this problem had no effect, since the bug report indicated 25% to 30% less sustained curve.
Gaijin’s strategy really grind my gears. So many planes have slight changes from real life to make them more balanced, but they can’t be bothered to adjust the gun pod model by a millimeter to give the RDA a gun. Really just ridiculous when you think about it.
