Has matchmaking always been like this?

I think it’s fair to assume they use some kind of EOMM. If nothing else because they are one of the most successful devs in the industry, and if others use such technology, WT is unlikely to be the exception.

It is pretty much impossible to separate what can be our own intuition about the MM from simple human confirmation bias, but also that doesn’t make anecdotal observations entirely irrelevant, it just means we can never get a definitive answer about what’s actually being “optimised” and what’s simply being picked up by our pattern-seeking brains.

I wouldnt be surprised if it does exist, but its not like we have any hard proof as such, and if it does I think it does far less than most people like OP thinks it does

and the rest of what you said I absolutely agree

It actually isnt and you can do your own research because I dont have the sources neatly saved for some dip on the internet who has a high opinion of his intellect.

Also why dont you dig into the history of the word conspiracy theory and where it came from.

On yhe glip side. You’re welcome to not believe it and go kick rocks and sell your opinion else where.

Also, most games have an algo where they elevate podcasters and such.

Fun looking games sell more and increase the odds of ingame purchases.

I worked marketing/advertising, the data we had access too should bave been illegal yet it wasn’t because of how much money that data used when applied creatively. It’s no different here, they boost some people because it increases monetary gain while putting others through the grind because they’re consistent but not classified as individually important.

You can argue all you want, but all it takes is some simple google searching to find tons of exampls of this. After all, it’s all just code, and it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand greed/deception.

Slots use weighted measures… so do online competitive games. It’s gambling with more steps and a better illusion of choice.

i did and what i found were just random people on reddit saying it was true, and i dont think any of them did any quality research

“do your own research” is always a massive red flag in the validity of what anyone says because if youre the one making a claim then the burden of proof is on you

My guy go to google. There’s tons of actual stories of companies doing this.

Also this isn’t a court room. I am not going to do your leg work for you and I don’t owe you squat. Go be obnoxious some where else.

okay? did you like not read my conversation with the other guy? we already went over this

bro is never gonna convince anyone of anything with that attitude

I am not worried about convincing you. I think the whole “burden of proof” thing on a forum is highly arrogant given the ease of access to information now a days. It’s condescending and entitled - I did my work and my research. And I don’t owe my labor to some dude on the internet who isn’t going to do me any favors.

And no, I didn’t read your entire convo. Not how I planned on spending my morning.

i think its far far more arrogant to go making decently questionable claims without providing anything other than “go google it yourself”, “i think” and very clearly making a popularity fallacy the core of your point and then getting defensive about it and calling anyone who questions you obnoxious and telling them to go ‘sell their opinion’ elsewhere like bro im here to provide my opinion just as much as you are, why should I leave?

it wasnt even that long, it would take like 3 minutes at most to skim it slightly, and its not like it isnt relevant, this isnt a place to just have arguments for the sake of it, it is ultimately a forum for discussions, and if you are purposefully just ignoring what other people say about the same topic just for the sake of furthering your argumentative nature then thats on you

ultimately, drawing it back to what you said at the start, there was no big news break about warthunder using an algorithm to do what you say. that simply did not happen, we can only make assumptions and educated guesses as we have always been able to do
