I will reiterate just to be clear, i’m a hardcore french main, but at least i admit AASMs are currently bad for the balance of the game, even if i use them occasionaly, now you compare to KH38 :
- 741 m/s of delta v versus 157m/s
- 152kg vs 117kg
- IR+IOG guidance for both (RIP maverick by the way)
So unless you want to prove that 157 > 741 and 117 > 152, sorry not sorry, KH38 is quite busted, and by a big margin

A missile follows another missile.
yup, typical fuse doesn’t trigger because of speed (not sure it’s speed, but it seems to do it more on faster missile, so i would assume it’s related in some way)
It does it on mavericks as well sometimes, but far less frequently

I never said the AASM is better. Don’t put words in my mouth.
I was saying in the fact anything with 20 KM range or greater is highly potent, no matter the nation or missile.
The AASM is a slower but very similar weapon to the KH-38, and they both have enough explosive mass to annihilate anything it will touch with a semi direct hit.
Also where did you get that data from?

You haven’t got the worse yet :
you intercept the missile, it blows up, and 5 seconds later it kills you anyway (i assume it is server desync)
It’s not just and RU thing though… I’ve seen this happen on all sorts of jets.
Even in air to air I’ve seen it happen.

It’s probably happened to you more than you realize in other nations… you just believe it’s happened more in the adts

Yes i don’t disagree on this particular point.
The KH38 is more potent than its competition due to sheer speed, that’s all. In that manner there is an unbalance, especially considering most nations don’t even have a competent AA to intercept it, and those who do are far less reaction time than the other way around. In that sense, an unbalance exists. That’s all.
Gszabi is a quite known dataminer. Basically looks in the files in each update, he even has a git repository. That’s one of the most reliable source you can get weaponry and machinery wise.
ITO can do it more reliably because of the tracking radar. That being said, i don’t think it would have changed anything if you were in an ITO here. I had that bug occur on a fair amount of missiles i tried to intercept as well.
Here’s the problem if they remove it.

What replaces it? Every other nation outside of RU has had IR weapons for a long time. The KA-52 and Mi-28Nm are also lacking their IR ATGMs.

This would upset many players who ground it out for the ability to “fight back” dare I say.

Something will replace it in another tech tree as it always has, in this case, most likely brimstone spam all over again

i cant even lock irst when theres a bit of cloud behind the planes
the last thing we need is another top tier CAS
we need tank only mode the most
we need better SAM or spaa
