I’m at work man. I wouldnt put a second of my freetime into the fruitless task of trying to improve the game or make some random virtual tank more accurate. That should be the snails job. Theres also 1000s of people already doing that and they are way better at this than me.

May I ask where your information about the PUMA ifv being not even bad comes from? I’m not talking about the 3.3 br one. Since, yk, most peoples alias on this forum are their in game names and I’m seriously struggling to find any of the PUMA ifvs in your statcard? That knowledge about its performance in game just materialised out of thin air or do you have an alt account and can enlighten me what to do to actually make it work?

Puma is also a false equivalence fallacy. Puma is a heavily armored IFV with small caliber autocannon.
2S38 is an auto-light with significantly weaker armor.
2S38’s best comparison is the Begleitpanzer, and one is a higher BR due to APFSDS rounds.
True maybe the 11.0 PUMA just has a fked up playstyle due to its subpar main gun in which its strong points is you have to rush in like a lunatic and while the enemies somehow struggle to take you out they get killed by your allies. Funny af but not exactly rewarding. Also relies heavily on the fact that you need to have allies. Once your on your own you’re done for.
Also doesnt help you in spading it since you dont get rp for people that fail to kill you in 3 shots and get taken out while reloading. Maybe i just need to get used to dying, standing around being cannon fodder and repairing and otherwise be completely useless or at max a annoyance that is best ignored.
To be at least somewhat effective with it (not even at range but even close) taking at least 5 shots to disable a main gun or tracks from an inaccurate gun isnt really the way to go. before you took out anything that could help you your gun overheats. especially when the target is moving. at range that just gets worse. But wait- you have spikes. Or so you thought xD It’s just a vehicle of inconsistencies. The main gun, the spikes, does it (the enemy or the PUMA itself) die or not when hit? Inshallah, just rush in and try, something will happen
2s38s best comparison would be the swedish strv 9040s no? except for they dont have an unmanned turret and weaker darts but still workable. played all of those and compared to the PUMA - man those things do work
PUMA is actually one of the more annoying vehicle in its respective br, when it’s hull down using the muss sensor as a bait, it is nearly impossible to kill, you will set off the fireworks like during Chinese New year celebration but you will not kill it, if you don’t kill it you get marked, not even Soviet 125mm HE could pop the turret, one time it gets showered in 300-400 bullets by Tunguska’s 30mm and didn’t die, no other light tanks could take these amount of hits from autocannons and not die lol also all you had to do is land one clean shot on the barrel to turn it yellow or orange, then it gets destroyed after they fired the shot, more often than not they fire blanks or the accuracy is so bad that it misses you point blank.
barrels just break after shooting with them when they are at least orange and not yellow i thought? and to get them yellow you already need like 3 hits, which from the front means straight on the sniffer. as long as he can still shoot (no matter how many rounds it takes from the PUMAs gun to get the enemies barrel to that state) and youre not hull down how does that help? the PUMA is an easy oneshot with apfsds to the hull?
but yeah peeking just your turret is its strong point but a: on a lot of maps there just are no hull down spots in useful positions or maps are close range. b: for long range you have a whopping amount of 4 spikes and no ammo box. And c: if you get hit at the turret and not the MUSS sensor with he you will die. If you get your ammo on top of the tank blown out it magically destroys both your tracks from 200 rounds of 30 mil ammo on top of a heavily armored tank. so then your just sitting there waiting for them to finish you off. Its repair simulator 30k
The way to play against it is: just ignore it and keep moving or pop smoke if he launches spikes at you. he wont hut you and has to be very lucky to disable you especially at range, which is just a weird way to deal with an enemy tank? if you focus the PUMA (the 11.0 one at least) when he has allies around you done fkd up. thats probably the annoying part? Judging whether or not you can (99% of cases) and have to ignore it or not? :-D

I actually got my ass handed to it so many times I’ve lost count, mainly I was pushing and just one PUMA that I didn’t have access to the hull, single handedly win a 1vs1 against my mbt, because I only get to fire a shot then if I can’t kill it or disable it through the turret and trigger the blow out panels, it will 99% got my barrel or breech, then it gets to do whatever the f it wants to me. Also the punishment of failing to kill the PUMA in one hit is very lethal, jets hovering in space will see my dumbass with a marker then drop their load on me, and everybody and their mothers/sisters sees my position and start shooting at me like I owes them money, the PUMA also create a situation where it will benefit their teammates, it exposed its unmanned turret, bait enemies into shooting the turret to reveal their position, gets marked, gets return fire by your teammates. Super annoying vehicles to even 1vs1, also its frontally immuned to most autocannons.
You could easily multipath 27ER, just like other SARHs. Radar missiles back in that time were a gimmick to punish the worst of the worst players.

hmm maybe your right. maybe its strong points are mainly being very annoying and strictly supporting teammates which is what i had better success with yesterday. i mean i was familiar with the 10.3 puma, played that a lot and it’s probably just way more dangerous cause of the lower br a lot of enemies it faces just have worse armor.
Still feels like it’s quite an outlier in the top tier area where basically everything you see is an imminent threat and the puma only is if he gets really lucky with its pars. worst he can do is disable you from the front, which as long as youre moving is not the easiest to do since the gun is not that accurate and you need to get multiple hits to the tracks (easier) or if youre looking straight at him the tip of the barrel which breaks with 4 to 5 hits. now move that barrel in circles and i bet theres no way he will get it till he overheats. just dont let him get your unangled side.
but yeah now that ive at least got some accuracy mods and mobility stuff i can see it at least being decent. doesnt change that theres still quite a number of bug reports up for it some that have been deemed critical even by smin like the “explode its ammo and its tracks blow off thing” which was given higher than normal priority for review in november 24 and its still happening
Last played the PUMA was many months ago, I recall there was a bug where you ran through the first stage ammo belt, all the way to the last belt that would take forever to feed through the tube, I don’t know if this bug still present lol
i wouldnt exactly be shocked if it was. ill let you know as soon as i manage a game where i make it all the way to the last belt

I was able to do it in marginot line camping near the f8 area, some unlucky bloke got hit in the engine before his tank could get behind the building and half his ass exposed for me to farm mission points lol was shooting at his engine block for two minutes straight until he finally die by engine fire, then I find out I simply cannot load the remaining ammo, the progress bar barely move. The good thing is we both benefit by the total hit count/getting hit, iirc from all the abuse I dishes out I received around 1000 mission points from the total hit count. 1 kill and 1000 points is crazy
Only in top tier, any other br Ru has inferior SPAAs compare to other nations. 8.0-9.0 their SPAAs totally outclassed by Chinese and USA
