Recently I’ve been noticing that the transmission on tanks is being destroyed by the blast of aphe shells nowhere near it and am wondering if anyone else has noticed it as well
something that has a transmission running through the tank like a tiger ii or sherman (or just most wwii vehicles)

I haven’t seen it personally as I have been playing 10.3 (I finally unlocked the Challenger mk2)
I do recall others talking about it though. iirc it only happens, or at least happens more often with APHE shells that overpressure
Just feels a tad strange to have 28 grams of explosive destroy a transmition 2 meters away and maybe I have only recently noticed as I mainly play Britain
Indeed… Somehow they shot my commander’s cupola, and then the tramission just breaks… like how is it even touching it? The gunners are not even dead nor the drivers.
If you look at the damage models you’ll see the transmission and the under turret drive shaft are all the same hitbox. So a hit to any part of it registers damage.

Though, some vehicles are much more vulnerable to cupola deaths.
