It gets worse

Gaijin Lies x (to many times to count.)

1: The 110% rating (Short Lift wet) was never used to measure performance data IRL as it was too risky

2: the documents in the AV-8B SAC would use “Max Thrust rating” a real thrust setting on the Pegasus engines.

3: I have proven that the Harriers take on average around 1 minute too long to climb to altitude.

4: The Harriers thrust drops off by a good 50% at high speed so adding another 50% would legit just make it realistic.

So why does Gaijin have actual beef with the Harrier. This has gone on far too long for me to believe its ignorance or otherwise. This is purely them not wanting to buff it.

Here is an installed thrust chart that maybe they can use unless they think they are correct over and above the actual people who made the planes.

I think I’m going to start working on a formal thread/bug report for it. Actually get some quantitve data and via someone like gunjob, get a more clear answer on how it all works from the Devs. Maybe even bully… I mean… Ask a CM if they could even do a dev-blog on how IR signatures work in game.

Then we’d have the foundation for enacting real change. I think at the moment, most people think we are just complaining for the sake of complaining without understanding what the actual issue is

Maybe it seems correct, if we consider Harrier cases, Tornado GR.1 or F-4J(UK) cases.

Most people include Gaijin, maybe think we are complaining about our planes not because it is treated unfairly and historically incorrect
and believes that we also want bias British shit, just like some random bad US main who biases F-4J to 11.7 or crying for AIM-9X and AIM-120C-5 on their plane…
(I didn’t mean to be offensive, just made an example with the most impressive one)

Unfortunately, probably the case.

As we see way too often, “player stats” speak far louder than “common sense” and despite all these short comings, most can still make lemonade from the lemons we are given.

But im hoping that if we can provide hard data and not just “in my experience” answers. We can shut down those kinds of people without much effort.

I still get people telling me that there is nothing wrong with the F-5s, and its hilarious to show them the tests using IRST for the F-5s on reheat being colder than the F-117. Shuts them up rather quickly.

Which, with any luck, might make demonstrating the issue easier than it is currently.

Its just determining a methodology for proving there is an issue, or spelunking in the code and demonstrating the cause.

Probably wouldnt hurt to have a formal and more detailed explanation on how IR signatures work. Gunjob got the basic run down before, but it wasnt overly clear.

True but now they make nearly the same thrust while going fast.

There isn’t a single feature correct about them.

I won’t be surprised if the HUD is still broken after the new update.

That, I fully plan to do some butt kicking for if its wrong. But I’ve had moderate amount of success bug reporting HUD related issues, so im not overly worried so long as the issues are easily replicable.

I have my fingers crossed SIM is what I’ve started playing mostly and half that HUD doesn’t even work so it would be near impossible to use.

If they still don’t give the Frs.1 EEGS after all of this I don’t even know what to say, its like they actually have something against the Harrier.

I haven’t seen any other plane require so much crap to just get a change.

Im desparetely hoping that the reason for not giving them it was due to the lack of proper HUD for it and now it has the actual HUD (with an A2A mode) we’ll finally see the full EEGS.

Would require some radar changes as well.

If they don’t give them that I’ll be very disappointed.

From a generic standpoint if someone passed of an E-M diagram about the F-15 pulling 1.5-2G less than It should that would have been changed immediately like next day they would be working on it. The Harrier though, they do nothing.
Not many people actually play the Shar to be fair.

Probably not, at least not that much. Anything that needs to be coded probably already is on the FA2.

Different radar though, or would it just be as simple as copy paste the EEGS code onto the blue fox.

Should just be the EEGS code, which is the same gun, location on the airframe and the same airframe
