- it has no flares
- its a harrier and has all the harrier related nerfs/issues at the moment
- the 30mm ADENs are some of the hardest guns in game to use
- SRAAMs are some of the weakest AAMs in the game at the moment and are massively underperforming
It is extremely hard to justify it even being 9.7 at the moment and probably should be 9.3 until SRAAM get their buffs and fixes (Only been 3 years since those reports were submitted)

It is extremely manoeuvrable carries a bunch of missiles that at BR 9.7 always hit, it can hit all planes except vehicles pay to win.

Out of all the premiums you could have picked, you may have literally picked one of the weakest premium jets in the game at the moment. Certainly one of the weakest in the British TT and is definetly the weakest of all harrier premiums, with the AV-8A & AV-8S at same BR as the Gr1 with 240 flares, much much stronger and the Harrier T10 & AV-8B(NA) also being very decent for their BR.
The idea that 4 of the weakest IR missiles at 9.7. Way weaker than something like the R-60. Should be at a higher BR than supersonic, flare carrying aircraft, that turn better like the J35XS. Is just hilarious.
maybe if it had its IRL all-aspect SRAAMs with 2km range it could be be 10.3, would be extremely miserable to play with 0 CMs, but might be justification for it. But with rear-aspect 800m range SRAAMs. Most of your kills will come from the guns not the missiles. Especially as the SRAAMs have an annoying min range bug at the moment
Would also need the dozens of Harrier related bug reports to be addressed from massive FM and engine buffs to IR signature overhauls and even getting rid of the sooty exhaust.
I take it you have never actually played a harrier or used SRAAMs?
and what are you trying to use against the Harrier GR1 to make you come to this conclusion?

I genuinely have no clue, Their highest plane is the CL-13. They have 9.7 ground though, Guessing someone bullied them when they uptiered a plane or something

But yeah, short of maybe a full uptier, they wont even see a Harrier Gr1 and then maybe I get the fixation on the SRAAM if you are in a flareless 8.7, but Id still fear 9Gs more
Only expierence ive had with these is playing my su25 and hearing dinner bells go off in my head as soon as I got close enough to see it was a gr1.

It is the most miserable harrier, it would be nice if anything got fixed, or some form of countermeasures, even just a bundle of rubbish under the airbrake 😿Or you know, an IR signature overhaul.

Yeah, Harrier doesnt even need flares to defend against most IR threats IRL :D
and they did stick chaff in the airbrake and between the bombs and pylon. That way they had some chaff. Also on the FRS1.
But yeah… I tried playing it the other day in SB and it was okay, but definetly a bit of a chore.

They fudged the flares on the F5 well before there was any documentation of it being possible, so I’m not gonna lose too much sleep if they fudge the airbrake chaff on the sea harrier to be flares on the gr1 😿

Yeah. just get 4 large calibre flares and they dump all at once :D
