Dude, bugs don’t count… If for that Ariete has armour of 60 tons of air but they still put him at a high BR. But I could give you other examples of vehicles put at high BR with bugs.
Then why should the Harrier GR1 be a HIGHER BR than any of the other Harriers as it has no flares?
Putting at a higher BR than all-aspect slingers with no flares is kinda stupid.
Give me 1 reason why it should even be 9.7 and not 9.3. Let alone 10.7
10.7 is the same BR as the FRS1e with 2x 9L, 60 CMs, a radar with IFF and hopefully soon EEGS
At that BR he is extremely manoeuvrable his missiles work and he even carries 4 in combat when all the others carry 2.
Also at Italian Harrier and BR 13 avoid saying that Harrier GR.1 is the highest in BR because it is not.

So AV-8A and AV-8S with 240 CMs and AV-8C and Harrier Gr3 with 60 CMs with identical FM and 2x Aim-9Gs is fine at 9.7 but the harrier Gr1 with no flares and 4x 800m AAMs needs to be 10.7 because it has 4 missiles instead of 2?
Heck, the GR1 doesnt even have an RWR and you want it a higher BR than the J35XS which is only at 10.3 because it has no RWR and that has CMs, 6x better AAMs and is supersonic
Might when the FM is actually fixed and is up to IRL performance, the other Harriers can go up. But with no flares, an uptier is a death sentence.

Playing the Harrier Gr1 over the Harrier Gr3 is more like paying for a handicap than a “crutch”. Its one of the weakest aircraft at 9.7 at the moment.
I think it would probably be just as weak at 9.0 or still be a “suffer-bus”. It would have to go down to the last gunfighters’ BR to be somewhat balanced
You can see that you have never played with italy which has most of the planes suffer from Over BR. Harrier is not one of the weakest as you claim he is fine where he is learn to play. As I said before Harrier should not have a match with a G.91(Preseries) or R/1
Still sounds like a skill issue if you think a Flareless aircraft should be 10.7 and it doesnt even have good AAMs
and Harrier GR1 should not have a match agains an F-104 or F-4C or A-10A or Su-25 or basically anything at 10.0+

I am not the one calling for the Harrier to be assigned a BR of less than 9.0, putting it on a par with much weaker aircraft such as the G.91 (Preserie) or an R/1, which should never have an match with a Harrier.
If you can’t kill anyone with 4 missiles and a 2 30mm cannon then I’m not the one with the skill problem
Who said anything about less than 9.0. Until SRAAMs are actually usable, probably should be 9.3 when compared to the Harrier Gr3 & AV-8C with 9Gs and 60CMs or AV-8A & AV-8S with 9Gs and 240 CMs . Also AV-8S has an exceptionally good RWR for the BR and the GR1 doesnt even have one.
Its the weakest of the 5 Harriers and is suffering quite a bit trying to fight All-aspect slingers in any uptier.
Maybe if there was a reason for it to be at 9.7, like decent missiles, it wouldnt be too bad, but it doesnt even have that at the moment. And if/when we get a decompression. It will still be the lowest BR of the 5.
Your notion that it should be 10.7 because it has 4x 800m AAMs vs 2x 3km AAMs that hte other harriers have is just idiotic.

and again. It probably should be at 9.3 but the better solution would be to buff the SRAAMs to their IRL performance.
Double their range from 800m to more like 1.8-2km. Increase their rear-aspect angles (instead of giving them all-aspect) and fixing their buggy TVC behaviour that prevents them from being used below 400-450m.
This should be in addiiton to a number of major bugs plaguing the Harriers at the moment
But it is without a doubt the weakest of the 5 Harriers currently at 9.7

Alternative solution until it is fixed: Force harrier to not be uptiered or downtiered. Might need a new flag created, but would be an easy enough fix to half bake.
(Gr1 should be 9.3 tho, unless we get decompression by some miracle)

I assure you, if they got up and bothered to do something helpful, it definitely could.
Instead, however, they tend to wake and choose violence against the playerbase, notably air to ground players.
