Had SO MUCH fun in Enduring Confrontation!

As the title says, me and a friend I haven’t seen in a long, jumped into a game. Took some starter IJN ships BR 5.0 and after like 3-5min of sailing towards enemy base alone (we didn’t want to get involved with battleships duking it out)

Suddenly we got jumped by a bunch of planes. (Think it was a squad of players). We managed to kill 3, but I suffered a torpedo hit, but managed to recover.

Then 2-3min after that whole AI formation of bombers flew above us, we managed to shoot down 4.

Then, suddenly, again 2-3min later, a huge bomb exploded between me and my friend, causing some damage. (Some guys dropped it on us from crazy altitude and almost erased us).

Then we got to the base, we had a fight 2v1 against enemy cruiser that just spawned there. And it somehow ended up with all of us dying. (His guns killed us, but he in turn got sunk by torpedos)

Then we took our own cruisers and started saling back there. AI planes again passed close to us, but nothing happened. Then when we were closer to enemy base and exchanging fire with enemy ships Mu front turret detonated for an airplane bomb hitting me dead center.

Point is, a lot of unexpected stuff happened and it was way more fun than naval usually is. We should really make sure there are MORE planes in naval battles.

Would be amazing if there were AI formations (8-16planes) that would genuinely do attack runs against player ships.

In my case we were “lucky” to be attacked by human players and had AI fly over us TWO times.

Feels like that would be a great thing for the game mode over all, kinda.

PS: I just wanted to share a positive experience for once. Been a long time since I had this much fun in WT.

While I agree EC is a lot of fun, it is also very buggy on a lot of maps, and I wish gaijin would give it more love.

I think player-controlled groups of aircraft (I mean flights) would be a great addition to naval. In EC, I remember the torrents of enemy fire which basically made the battle area a no-fly zone. The implementation of such a mechanic in EC would ideally have SP no greater than battleship costs, and single aircraft as we have now should be allowed to first spawn/no SP requirement. Possibly restrictions on constitutional aircraft, or presets like in NAB. The current EC is stale for me after battleships are in play, but it probably would be dynamic with the aforementioned changes implemented. Compared to AI attacker formations, it would allow greater player participation. Although I can see AI attackers such as those in Air SB (with better AI) be an additional map objective.

Yeah for sure that would be great. A squad of players, could then control a respectable number of planes needed to endager a BB.

And would reward the teamplay much more.
