The AS550 Fennec and AS555 Fennec 2, originally designed, developed and produced by the French company Aérospatiale, are light and multi-role military helicopters, based on the AS350 Écureuil and AS355 Écureuil 2 (twin-engine). With the change of nomenclature of Airbus Helicopters in 2014, it is renamed H125M.

On January 1, 1990, the Aerospatiale company changed the designation system for its models intended for military use. The single-engine AS350 thus became the AS550. This nomenclature was retained in January 1990 when the Eurocopter firm was created, formed by the merger of the Aerospatiale helicopter division and the German company MBB. The aircraft was then renamed Fennec and produced by the new company.

In France, the Fennec is one of the military aircraft that the population is most accustomed to seeing. Since the 1990s, aircraft belonging to the Air Force, the AS-555AN, have been carrying out the delicate mission known as MASA (for Mesure Active de Sûreté Aérienne) which consists not only of permanently monitoring the sky, a bit like an air police force, but above all of intercepting any light aircraft (helicopters, microlights, tourist planes) whose behavior could seem suspicious or even dangerous. Helicopters are therefore more effective and less expensive than fighters like the Mirage 2000.

It will indeed be funny but I am especially waiting to see the engine performances, this helicopter being the military version of the Ecureuil and can therefore fly at surprising altitudes.

+1 such a cool heli
For the 5 troops it can carry, several ways we can implement this:

  1. Helis(or APCs/IFVs) can cap points faster if they carry infantry(new type of crew)
  2. If we ever add AI infantry or infantry mode they could be carried by helis

France needs more heli representation in-game and I would also like an update of loadouts for older existing helis in WT, like S.A.316 Alouette III and H-34.

totally agree, I am currently working on suggestions for the Guépard , the Super Puma and the Caracal as a helicopter to give more diversity to the tree
