+1, We’ve been waiting a long time for an F14D, but sadly it is Premium without the Amraam (Gajin said it would be hard to put a premium Tomcat with Aim120 in a perfect BR without breaking the premium BR rule), and an F-14D (R) would be a perfect solution. Anyway, sooner or later this will come as we are soon running out of planes for toptier
To be fair upgraded F-14A (F-14D(R)) with AIM-120 would make much more sense than a newly built F-14D airframe having them. F-14A tested these missiles afterall and one could say it retained that ability after modernization. We could even give it VTAS HMD since it also did test it successfully.
Just a thought.

it would make sense for a newly built f14D to have aim120 capabilities. NF14A-65 tested them because it was testing if the f14 airframe is capable of AMRAAMs that’s it I’m pretty sure a different nf14 tested guiding aim120 in stt
Pretty sure that was during the early stages of the f14A lifetime so it would be pushing it especially since it was no longer planned during the f14D upgrade

+1. I’d love to see an AIM-120 slinging F-14D in the tech tree. I have a feeling that it’s already over and I’ve given up. They’re literally laughing in our faces by not making any significant changes to the AIM-54C+ they added recently. I’m very disappointed.

The Su-30 is a completely broken premium. I can’t lie, now that I think about it, they should have added some kind of early copy paste premium F-15 with Fox 3s instead of the F-14D, because it would have been the perfect counter to the SU-30, and the F-14D could have been in the tech tree instead. The F-14D might be SU-30MK2 food.
They could’ve called it the F-15C (Early), with a Royal Saudi Air Force pre-order camouflage, and limited the aircraft to four AIM-120s so it wouldn’t be too broken. I should work for Gaijin. I just came up with this shit in under five minutes.
