Ground Vehicles **PROPOSED** RB battle rating changes

but then you get the churchill VII problem where your armor is good at range but your gun is actual garbage at that same range. T-34s are supremely overrated by this playerbase

Well, their mobility is much better than the Churchill VII’s, so you can usually get to a good side-flanking position where your round (which has better explosive filled and angle pen than M61 shot), while still having good hull armour if needed.

Really depends on which T-34 you’re talking about.
The T-34-85s are extremely good for their BRs, and I’d say the T-34-57s are also really good.
The T-34-76s are mediocre in my opinion (especially those that got moved up), but can still be very good in the right hands.

I think t-34s in general are a bit overrated but the 85s are actually extremely competent and you can’t underrate the 57 when it can very easily shoot through a VII’s front. T-34-76 are some of the most overrated tanks in the game and I’d genuinely rather be in a pre-update Cromwell V than a 76

In some instances yes, in others I wouldn’t say so.
In general, I think they are well rated. (Not underrated nor overrated)

Not sure where you’d shoot the VII with the 57mm for it to penetrate.
The turret armour and hull armour are all ~150mm of protection.
The only place where I could think of shooting the VII with the 57mm is the cupola or the hull machine gun port (which means that they aren’t angling).

Though it’s a reasonably easy pen if their turret isn’t facing towards you:

I’ve never really seen anyone say that the T-34-76s are that good to be honest (or bad for that matter). The vehicles that pick up more attention are the KV-1 and its variants to be honest with you 😅

I’ve been goobed frontally by it before so I just didn’t bother to actually check how viable doing that was lmao. Still tho, a T-34 with an actually good reload is very good.

KV-1s are some of the most frustrating things to play against it’s astounding that anyone can ever call them mid.

Current performance can literally be 1 match or 100 matches for a month.
That’s why it’s bad as a measure of one’s skill.
And that’s why globally one’s beginning to now performance matters much more.

My apologies I was still thinking about when it was 8.7

Regardless the E100 is the best performer in the game, and is better than the Maus. Therefore it should most certainly see 8.0 as its home br.
Additionally, the IS-7’s 10 sec reload is first stage only it reloads much slower than the e100 after that from what I’ve been told / seen.

So you want its availability nerfed? On the gaijin market?

Also, yes it does need some sort of buff, because many comments ago now, I tallied up what br games I was getting and if I could achieve a 1.0 KDr or not… I didn’t set the bar high.
But, moral of the story was the majority of games were 6.7 or 7.0 games. I didn’t see a single 6.3 match, and 6.0 games were the minority.

The E-100 side-skirts and extra forward speed more than compensates for the Maus thicker hull armor and reverse gearbox?

The Excelsior silly.

It tends to help the E-100’s performance that only stupidly good players can get it as opposed to the Maus.

It was never 8.7 as far as I remember. It has only been 8.0 and 8.3.

It was the case untill people could buy it on the market.

By all metrics low tier soviets should be complete and utter garbage between the BT-7M and the T-34-57. The guns are bad, the armor is not good, the mobility is supremely mid and the gun handling is genuinely some of the worst in the game. These tanks should not be good. Unfortunately for everyone: volumetric. I would love to live in a world where the KV-1 isn’t the world’s largest mirror telling me to off myself everytime I have to engage it but I don’t. Instead I have to get “skill issue” yelled at me every time I complain about being annoyed at these things because volumetric told me to hang myself instead of making the weakspot actually be a weakspot. In no universe should the stupid MG thing on the front bounce a 17 pounder round but it does and everytime I happen to hit it I get one step closer to uninstalling a game I otherwise enjoy. But it’s my fault because I’m not shooting the correct pixels I’m shooting right next to them that should do the exact same thing but the armor system is a joke so it just doesn’t. I can’t wait for the mods to remove this post after I get told “skill issue bro just shoot better” like 4 times :)

Additionally the T-34-76s have made me dislike playing that BR range just because of how annoying they are to kill. It’s just doing the same thing over and over and hoping you don’t get volumetric’ed. They aren’t OP, they’re just infuriating to face sometimes.

It’s not that the T-34-76’s are particularly good, it’s that they are particularly simple. I that out of all of low-tier ground they probably have about the lowest skill floor of anything. They just also don’t have a very high skill ceiling, unlike the KV’s.

I feel you, but this should also speak to you as proof that what would benefit the KV-220 the most is a BR decompression. It won’t need buffs if it falls out of the bracket with the most popular heavy tanks in the game (6.7)

The Shermans in the 3.0-4.3 range also have an incredibly low skill floor.

Monthly stats literally requires you to have played at least 100 matches, which is quite a reasonable sample size if you ask me.

100 matches is around 10-15 hours of gameplay, which is not an insignificant amount of time.

The problem with all-time is that it heavily favours steady improvement over a long period of time over rapid improvement over a short period of time.
Someone who has played 1000 games and have done mediocre (let’s say 1 kill per every death) and then played 2000 games and improved slightly (let’s say the average K/D in those 2000 matches was 1.3 kills per every death).
Their monthly would be 1.3 kills per death but their overall is 1.2.

Person B could have played 1000 games mediocre as well (let’s say the same 1 kill per every death) and then played 500 games next and improved by quite a bit (let’s say 1.5 kills per every death).
Their monthly would be 1.5 kills per death but their overall is 1.17, which is worse than person A.

Now imagine if we gave them another 1000 battles in their ‘improved’ state:
Person A would have a monthly K/D of 1.3 kills per death still, but their overall would be getting closer to their monthly, which would now be 1.225.

Person B, on the other hand, would still have a monthly of 1.5 but their overall now surpasses Person A, which would now be 1.3.

It just takes time for Person B’s overall to catchup… or you can just look at monthly to see how they’re currently performing.

That is true, but the only reason that’s the case is because it’s one of the most rare vehicles in the game, and so only great players / experienced players still use it to this day.

But if the E-100 was as available as the Maus currently is, you’d probably see it have similar performance to the Maus (though possibly slightly better).

Yes, it is better than the Maus but I’m not sure if it’s a whole 0.3 BR difference kind of better.
Its forward speed and neutral traverse rate is better, a little bit better UFP, along with better HEAT protection on the sides of the hull (due to the side skirts).
But you can shoot off the side skirts, it’s more prone to large caliber HE shells from the front (because there is no engine to absorb the shot), and the reverse speed is half of what the Maus’ is.

The IS-7 has an autoloader, so it doesn’t reload while the autoloader is empty (rather, you have to wait for the two loaders to put ammo into the autoloader, which then proceeds with the 10s reload).
My friend has the IS-7, and he says that it takes around 25s - 30s to start loading the first round into the autoloader, and around 20s - 25s for the consecutive rounds. For comparison, the T58 takes ~20s- 23s for the first round, and ~15s - 18s for the rest.
That’s definitely not great, but you get 6 rounds in the autoloader, and one in the chamber already, so unless you are unable to hit / penetrate your enemies, you are guaranteed to have 7 relatively free kills within 10s from each other. But of course, you probably won’t see 7 enemies every 10s very often (unless you manage to get a good flank), so there is some downtime for the autoloader to start replenishing. As a result, my friend says that he rarely runs out of autoloaded ammo other than on certain maps or situations.

No, I’m not say that.
I’m saying that it’s doing well despite it being more popular / common than other great event vehicles:

If it truly was below average at 6.0, I wouldn’t expect it to be on the same level the Excelsior, T18E2, IS-7, or Obj 279, and yet it is.

Well, that’s more of a matchmaking / decompression issue than it being at the wrong BR.
5.7s and 6.0s often get uptiered to 6.7 / 7.0 (because 6.7 is quite popular at the moment), but as soon as the matchmaking goes the other way, the KV-220 is going to wreak a lot more havoc than it already is.

Not a single one has been bought since the end of 2023 lmao:

And look at those prices 😵‍💫

You aren’t going to get a lot of inexperienced players buying these kind of vehicles, even when it was being sold in 2018 (bought for around 300 GJN each).
Even then, those casual players that got the E-100 back then probably rarely play now, and those that are more competitive still exist today in far greater numbers than the casuals.

Before that it was tournament only

My bad 😅
I thought we were still talking about the Cromwell there.

I would be fine with the Excelsior getting a mantlet buff, though it would definitely have to go to 4.7 then.

I know, but I remember that practically anyone could get it because you didn’t need to get an extremely high position in order to receive them, and from my understanding, those who already got it from one tournament could participate in the other three but couldn’t get a second one, and so the E-100 goes to the next player down the leaderboards:

And 200 for PS4 too:
