I don’t think people understand just how truly, absolutely, positively horrendous it’s mobility is.
It’s slower than the recently nerfed Tiger II’s and it’s not too far off from the Maus, all whilst having no armour, awful turret traverse, no secondary and only three crew.
There’s no way that thing deserves the same BR as a M36, let alone being at a higher BR.
Doesn’t it have a much more powerful APHE round?
Everything kills it easier than it kills everything else.
Meanwhile, it’s got literally nothing going for it besides that shell. It’s so incredibly sad that when someone calls arty near it, it often doesn’t even have the mobility to get away in time.

Its dynamic will stay the same, it can pen everything but be penned by everything.
Yeah waffen has the same gun the nashorn does at 5.3 except 1. the nashorn is faster 2. the nashorn can probably turn faster in a circle without a turret than waffentrager probably could even if you included its turret rotation
Nashorn is massive and (I believe) has more limited traverse. the Waffle trager isn’t only a powerful gun, it’s kinda a rat aswell.

Where are you getting those stats from? Also, one is played far more commonly than the other, and likely, a lot of the obj.279 stats are from when it was 8.3 / 8.7
Generally when things like that go higher in br, people play them less.

Statshark. I think the stats are 2 year stats, but it does plot a month by month tracker. Chieftan mk10 is at 1.5kdr last month with the 279 at 2.7.

Admittedly air kills have been rather difficult, as no1 wants to spawn planes when the SPAA they face is OP.
