Tanks are incapable of climbing the slightest slope because of the traction nerf from years ago, the recent april fools event highlights the problem even more. Instead of fixing broken map spots by making them out of bounds or by blocking them with rocks you fowarded the traction nerf that nobody wanted. Every surface is just too slippery. please fix it
They do that and everyone complains because their favourite OP spot was removed.
You’d get stuck if you did that with a tank IRL, the tracks are barely touching the ground, and the front is dug into the mud.
I don’t agree with your takes often but this one is neat.
The tracks aren’t even on the ground anymore, maybe the trenches are a bit too wide but that’s not really related to traction.
On the other hand, traction is kinda messed up for real though.
to be fair the st chamond would be stuck in that situation permanently
“OP Spot”
Literally none of those have been removed by the traction nerf… hence why literally every map was reworked removing these spots long after the nerf…
A spot is not OP just because you dislike it being used
Do you not remember how people used to play on ash river before the traction nerf
For sure, but they could’ve used a much better example, such as the Mk IV getting stuck on a gentle slope, or going over a trench. The truck getting stuck does make more since, because it doesn’t appear to have 4WD, just RWD.
Oh I remember.
But again. Even if the traction nerf was fully reverted none of these spots remain today.
The nerf was detrimental to the game and still is. It is the laziest way possible to “fix” a problem and it did not even remotely fix the problem, it only removed the top 1% of the spots not touching the remaining 99%
They should revert the traction back to a realistic one
Kinda surprised the mk5 wasn’t used for the screenshot sense they have trouble crossing normal trenches by somehow getting stuck in the middle
i managed to add the clip of the tank sliding
Its muddy and raining
Yeah ok, I get the front of the tank but the sliding on wooden logs is kinda funny.
Yep. massive work towards fixing terrain/traction needs to be done in 2025.
