Everytime this happens I fight the urge to immediately leave the game and usually I lose to that urge. Sim is not enjoyable in these small games. The matchmaker needs to wait until the lobby is at least 10v10 or 12v12 and ideally it waits until its a full 16v16 game like GRB usually is. These maps are always much larger than their GRB counterparts and having such small player counts makes them ghost towns.
The sim playerbase does not play for fast action and does not have attention deficit problems. They can wait for a match. Even if they did have such issues, they wouldn’t be satisfied driving for 7 minutes to find a single enemy player either.

Lets be real, sim quque times are so high that the gamemode feels almost dead, like for every 4 NATO players theres only 1 commie player.
I rather play a match with less players than no playing at all. Also already waiting 10min or more right now? Waiting for 12v12 would take more than half hour or never to happen.

I’m sure the remaining playerbase would rather wait a few more minutes for a full 16v16 game rather than play in 6v6 matches on these multiple kilometer long maps
I actually stopped playing sim bc of the long queque times. Not wasting my little free time sitting 20min in a lobby.
Waiting for 24 players (which I never seen happening ever) will extremely worsen the queque times.
Is this true for Ground Sim? Bc I know you can do it with Air Sim.
It would take marginally longer than waiting for 6v6 or 8v8.
Do you ever seen 12 total players urss/china?? In the queque lobby?
Its almost rare.
Do you know why that is?
Because the game will throw them into a 6v6 the first chance it gets… removing them from the pool…
