I have more than enough battles at high tiers (and good statistics which is important if you wanna make claims about state of the game) to make a judgement.
Fun fact: top tier has every anti skilled player mechanic that exist in WT combined.
And yeah are you sure you wanna play super realistic tanks? Do you even know what tanks are used for irl? Would you have fun hiding in a tank trench and shooting one in a while at random direction? Oh you also forgot that tanks irl can take multiple penetrations and still keep fighting. @ConnorSM
Have you seen WT huge maps? Like Pradesh, Red Desert, Mega Sinai and Mega Poland maps? They are straight up unplayable!
Let’s do an example:
We’ve got two hull down tank, let’s say challenger2e and Strv122B+
They are 3.5 km apart from each other
They see each other
They shoot at each other
They either miss cuz 2 seconds is enough to move or dont’t penetrate
Best case scenario is hitting cannon breach
Congratulations we’ve got breach repair simulator
And then they both die to CAS cuz some guy spawned SPAA, captured one poit, J-ed out and spawned CAS
Insane gameplay right?
Look, I’m not entirely against big maps. Im against 16v16 at huge maps and respawn-to-respawn sniping.
Would I play 100v100 at well designed huge map? Absolutely! However that not gonna happen. At least not until the devs decide to play their game once in a while.
Giv this map for grb. And if people wanna complain, they buy premium account and use a map ban. Fills the snails pockets and makes range based things better. Thank you for listening to this TED talk with RDXRooster63. bows
The map size is wonderful; I’d love to play on it. But unfortunately, the developers are only targeting players with “tunnel vision”. The rest of the players, who enjoy larger maps, are simply ignored :-/
This sized Mozdok is no longer in SIM battles. Sadly many maps in SIM has smaller version of the maps in rotation then the RB. I think that the largest map in SIM is now the Volokolamsk, the only map with 4x4km playable area.
Remember the the last Q&A, question was when we get properly sized maps for modern MBTs. Answer was there are 2x2km and 4x4km maps in a rotation.

So we sooner get battle royale with shrinking maps then something bigger then 4x4km.
Yup, played SB for a bit…they were removed/replaced for smaller maps…Just as bad as RB and not a single big map to be seen. A bit more worse tbh since helis right off the bat spam missiles at spawn leaving the SAMs with little to no time to position themselves. Majority of the sizes are 1.5 km to 2.5km, very few reach 4km and a good portion of them have them restricted areas or red zones areas with no access to the edge of maps making the big maps smaller anyways…
Since Gaijin uses data from the likes, bans and dislikes to determine what players like or prefer. They should allow us to rate all of them and specific missions so they can truly see what maps people like and dislike and for what Br range as well.
I truly love Domination #2/Battle #2 Tunisia. It’s around 3.3km x 3.3km for modern tanks and enough room for SAM systems to position myself with. Prefer 4km x 4km + maps. The main reason I like that map. I dislike the smaller versions of it though, wish I can dislike/ban all the tiny 1.5km size maps for top tier but low to mid tier is fine.
