The R-DARTER was adjusted from a non-official document as it was as taken from a write-up of the J39 in SAAF. So non-statistical “bufs” and “nerfs” do happen.
Also, from standing behind a SAAF J39C and looking at its payload and ordnance count I can personally confirm the game is not correct.
Same goes for the Superhind as I sat in the cockpit of that. Only problem is getting official documentation of it since ATE was bought out.
US top tier jets:
F-16
- Quite literally outrates everything
- Decent BVR capability
F-15C/E
- 6-8 AIM-120 missiles
- Ridiculously fast in a straight line
- one of the best BVR jet(s)
F-14A/A IRIAF/B
- Chunky Phoenix and just recently Fakour-90 missiles
- Loads of countermeasures, almost similar to Gripen
Over to the Gripen:
- 6 missiles, 4 of which can/has to be RB 99
- Every few months flight performance gets degraded because why not (read: new sources has come to light claiming it is in fact over performing)
- Light, Delta canard so one circle performance is much better than American counterparts (as it should be…)
American top tier jets needs to kill before the merge. You can’t really dogfight (until F-22 anyway) a jet that can kill you in 1-2 turns minimum if used right.
Also, using the Gripen as a baseline when it’s cracked delta canard older brothers and soon to be Russian “physics is only a suggestion” uncle is soon to come in the game is hilarious

For you the F/A18 is what if a not great dogfighter?
It’s a bit irritating to me that if one of the jets is buffed, which is not American, then you immediately start crying for the nerf.
Are you saying that America should be the top best dogfighter too? (best bvr jet (F15E has been dominating the matches for half a year, the best). But in all flight characteristics America should be the best, the top 1.
You don’t take into account that the Gripen can only carry 4 amraams and 2 Aim9m, and its radar is mid.
Unlike the F-18 which can carry 10 amraams and is among the top 5 dogfighter jets.
The 1 vs 1 dogfighting ability, which the Gripen is best at now, is just one feature.
You can’t exploit it in an average air rb match. Other factors will influence whether you die or not and how many kills you get.

Before I say what I’ll say next, please keep in mind that I DON’T say this as an argument in favor of the US getting a buff. The US is more than fine as they currently are in game.
I just want to say, taking 10 amraams will fuck over your dogfighting capabilities hard. You only have 4 DL channels meaning that you can only ahoot 4 of them at long range. Meaning you still have to haul 6 amraams until you get within 16km, so you’ll risk getting in a close range fight while either being in worse position/energy or still carrying 6 BVR missiles.
Absolutely! I prefer 6x120s on the 18C Late, it does not weigh you down as much. To the OP…the 18C is one of the Best in close fighters, this new AoA limit switch really depends on who can manage their optimal turn speed better in the merge! This new mechanic really makes a bunch of fighters that could not fight in close VERY dangerous now :) can’t wait for this to go live!

Well don’t dogfight with Gripen then easy unless you aren’t capable doing so
To be fair theres a bug report to reduce the AoA with the limiter off so it cant pull 90° turns qhich would make it a lot less effective.
And then F-22 fans say it had fuel tanks, then ignore the footage showing it didn’t, then saying it won 6 times, to which no evidence was ever shown

F/a18c will be capable of dogfight quite well. Thats all itll be good at. F16c is also very agile

I mean only a moron would argue that the rafale could consistently out fight a f22. You can find a ton of exercises. The reason the rafale win was so pubblicised is exactly because of how unusual it was. Not to mention its well known that the eould handicap f22s, an exercise is meant to train pilots, a curbstomp offers nothing of value for either side

A lot of misconceptions you have;
A. Rafale vs Raptor has not been known to happen often. Rafale vs F-35, yes, where its heavily held its own, but against the Raptor, no
B. Raptor pilots claimed to have downed Rafales, but it was later said to be Emirati Mirage 2000-9s
C. The F-22 was not handicapped. Both were flying to the best of their abilities, both were using nothing but the airframe and its power. No fuel tanks or handicapping, that is a common cope
D. No, F-22 wasn’t there to train Rafale pilots. UAE needed to modernize, and build trust with the USA, that’s what happened in 2009; Demonstrating a modern, capable, and powerful western modernization
They are capable and modern in different ways, debating that leads to blind nationalism
