Why 14.0 and not 13.7 like you want with gripen E. Its has worst flight model, no gimble radar, low speed and less counter measures. It literally worse than Gripen E
thats an AIM-120 issue not a gripen E issue

Yes and due to gaijin who will most likely never fix it(because it isn’t Russian) we will continue to suffer
If gaijin does actually fix the 120 i can see that being after 5 years from now minimum
Aim-9Ms have always been rather niche, requiring the right set up to get meaningful value out of them.
I have previously gotten very good success using the Aim-9M on aircraft such as the Tornado Gr4 and Harrier Gr7, but in the past few months, and especialy in the past few weeks, I have had a number fail spectacuarly

Whilst Im on the fence whether I consider them true equals to the Magic II and R-73, and I do think they could do with a buff (several appropriates accepted 2+ years ago) their current performance in recent weeks has been an anomaly and not what I would consider standard for the missile. The IRCCM has been especially unreliable and the missile guidance has been equally buggy. I shall give the devs 2-3 weeks after returning for their anual holiday (which they should be soon™) before I start to form an opinion further on this matter
An example from early last year of Aim-9M working great
Have you tried 9Ls lately. Been seeing them ignore flares like a R73 over the past few days when I was grinding with my premium viggen. One example an F-18 flare dumped and turned and the 9L still killed him.
I have not, but I find 9L performance highly contexual
Yeah but they have definitely done something to the code for it from what I noticed. It wasn’t like that before a few updates ago.
Missile performance is all over the place at the moment, But I would not use that as sole justification for a single airframe to be reduced in BR when the identical weapons are used on a number of other aircraft.
I mean I would because knowing gaijin they won’t give it better missiles because ’they’d have to move it up in br’. They did the same thing and stated so with the F-14B then moved it up later without giving it its 9Ms(yes F-14B irl had 9Ms).

So the Gripen E moves down to 13.7. Can the F-15s, Typhoons, etc join it?

Yeah I get your point. But what else can we do. It’s either nobody plays those planes at all or they get a missile buff. The likely option is the former(which is what gaijin wants because nobody playing them = no need to fix them).
64 vs 80 internal large calibre CMs ( I dont know if the Gripen E also gets the extra 12 standard CMs too either)
2 BOL vs 4 BOL
RWR and MAWS coverage is close enough to equal without looking too indepth.
By that logic Gripen C should be 14.0 at minimum as well(not counting the lack of Maws because it has never saved me)
I think Gripen E only gets standard CMs from BOL. I would boot up the game and check but I am quite tired atm(11 PM). Actually I’ll probably go sleep and see what people think tomorrow aka give the post time to cook.
First and foremost, ahve you spaded the Gripen E?
Unless you have spent a load of GE, you have not spaded it with
Never judge a book by its cover. Having recently spaded the AESA Typhoon, it was an absolute chore until I had 2/3 of the A2A mods unlocked. Few aircraft are good stock.
Next, They need to fix Aim-9M and BOL (Gripens have a very good defensive suite with 4x BOL) and ideally buff AMRAAM (a recent report did have gaijin request the full source, which is at least an indication it is being looked at)
Next decompress top tier, 12.0+ is a total mess at the moment.
Finally introduce EW, Gripen E is very well known for its EW performance.
Those are the logical steps for it to take before doing anything else
BOL is standard across all BOL carriers and massively artficially nerfed at the moment (Blame the Gripen A/C)

I am working on spading the E. The problem is getting research to do so and not GEing everything because when you average 1 kill every few matches(like one every 3 or more) it is very hard to do so. Anyways I gotta go sleep now.
This is the same for all unfortunately.
Try this:
When you spawn in, turn left, and side climb to 10-15k ft (In the Typhoon I recommend higher, but I think a more conservative alt will best benefit the Gripen E, but you oculd try higher)
Once you are up to alt, flank left, using the Gimballed radar to search for targets, avoid actually heading towards the furball and instead fly parallel to it. This will keep you out of the main focus of enemy targets.
Look for people flanking, and if there is none, look for anyone isolated after the main furball has occured. A more defensive playstyle may suite you more.
The key with AMRAAMs, is to fire as fast as you can and ideally reasonably high, you can negate some of their short comings doing this. When you fire, immediately begin turning cold and into the notch, keep the target in the radars FoR though. Try and avoid firing Aim-120C5s past 20 or so Km
If you need to defend, by extremely generous with your chaff usage.
