6.0 is very good anyway, M109G, 2S1 (I enjoy this thing a lot now, and I just use its HEAT shell, playing it like a light tank, it’s especially good against German teams), Leopardobofors, Re.2005 (very good CAS/anti-CAS with 1* 500kg+2* 100 kg), Tu-2S-59 (3* 1000 kg is insane), Tigris if you buy one or you can fill line-up with M18, M36B1 or maybe R3 T20.

8.0 is nice, yeah, although I would better take that leo at 8.3 with apfsds as my 8.0 line-up is already overcrowded.
I use R3 T106 FA, OF-40, Cuman Shilka, AUBL/74HVG (which I changed to 1A2 now at least while spading it, HVG has awful spalling, but it’s like an old friend with brain damage which I can’t leave), M47 (105/55), Vampire (with 2* 1000lb).

Unfortunately I doubt we will ever get DRACO.
BUT! The later service models of the Ariete C2 are planned to have the OTO 120mm L/55 which has VULCANO (probably couldn’t be implemented in warthunder, its mainly used for ships and is a IR or Laser guided 120mm round, for long range artillery).
But the L/55 also can get the same DART round from the DRACO, and this version would be much better and faster due to the nature of it being fired from a 120mm gun.
The vehicle we are likely to get for top tier AA is either the CAMM (the most realistic option, its basically the exact same thing as the IRIS-T SLM, infact the CAMM TEL has the ability to fire the SLM or in theory the SLX). Additionally the Aster 30 SAMP/T is possible, but much less likely because it is much more powerful, essentially it is a French-Italian MIM-104 Patriot competitor.
I would see the Aster 30 coming into the game with the Patriot, S-400 (or 300), etc.
None of which would be good ingame, Skyranger 30 looks modern but it really would just be a slightly better SIDAM 25 (Mistral). The 2K12M wouldnt really be as good as you think, it would have decent range but you could dodge but barely pulling. Even the most modern Kub isnt that good, they only start being as capable as current top tier SPAA until Buk-M3. Dont even start on NASAMS because that is stationary.
As for the Romanian subtree it has nothing except the already added Osa-AKM (their version of the MIM-104 is stationary).
We literally have 1 german tank at top tier, 2 if you count 2A4 Hun, and 3 if you count KF41 (which is only inservice with Hungary).
In general as much as hate how badly Gaijin treats Italy, I main it because it is in my opinion the funnest tree to play, and additionally home to alot of great vehicles that people just skip over.
I REALLY DONT want anymore copypaste in Italy TT top tier. We barely have any unique air vehicles and we have a pretty unique ground which sucks, but people suggest fixing this by implementing vehicles from other nations. Italy, Hungary, and especially Romania have plenty of unique vehicles that Gaijin just skips over for no reason.
Please no Gripen E for Italy, only other gripen I want for Italy is MS20B2, otherwise Gaijin needs to start adding Italian and Romanian planes and helicopters, which there are plenty of

Italy could still get such systems as Skyguard-Aspide, Polyphem and MEI, maybe not top br level, but still something better than just OSA and OTOMATIC.
They have Kub as well as Hungary.
Im pretty sure its not even Kub-M, so wouldn’t even be top tier worthy even if it was Kub-M.
There is only one Aspide variant that could be implemented for Italy because all the other versions are stationary. Aspide 2000 would be interesting though, it allegedy has 25km range from the ground, and should be pretty manuverable. My only worry is that it cant be guided via SACLOS like other top tier systems, and must require a radar lock at all times (from what I know).
Would be pretty good but seeing where Gaijin is going the only really capable vehicle (at top tier) would have to be CAMM or maybe Aster 15/30.
Kub-M could and other vehicles could be great, just at a lower BR. Right now I dont think we really need anything at a lower BR though as we have great AA with the Osa-AKM and Strzala-10M.
I think we could benefit from a better vehicle to replace SIDAM 25, something like a Gepard. I think we will get this soon though with a OF-40 with Gepard turret (suggestion got forwarded)

Nah that wouldn’t mean anything ingame. They modernized the 2K12 vehicle, not the actual missile. Just a better radar and stuff.
This is the thing I was talking about, would be PERFECT for 9.3 or something (I meant 8.3, got the number wrong), I would love to play this vehicle. Fits perfectly into Italy playstyle

The 2A7HU is a sidegrade to the 2A7V imo. For nearly every advantage the 2A7HU has it also has a disadvantage.
So technically they have the shared best Leopard in game.
By ONE variant, I meant this. They dont actually use trailers, this was just a prototype. Im pretty sure Pakistan bought this specific variant, but in Italian service this remained a prototype.
Yeah, that one is a long overdue, though it would probably be added with same capabilities as Gepard at 8.3.

Personally I hate both the Leo2A7, the 61km/h top speed really angers me in addition to the invisible wall blocking the gun to see in the back of the tank.
As much as the AMV sucks I like it better than the 2A7 simply because of the slightly better speed, acceleration, and smaller profile

Idk I stopped grinding the Ariete line after the Ariete(p) and have no intention of ever buying the other Arietes.
They are just too dependant on the enemy team for my taste.
Yeah I mean I understand that. Personally I have spaded the entire Italy TT (helis, air, naval included) and of all the vehicles I gotta say that the Arietes felt some of the funnest for me. But it just requires a very particular playstyle, which will fail like 25% percent of the time.
If you want to “play” the Ariete, use the OF-40 Mk.2A and the OF-40 with MTCA engine, they have the exact same playstyle of the Ariete but at a much more viable BR. Unfortunately they got slightly nerfed by a -5km/h which you can notice pretty well and its annoying, otherwise that lineup is great especially with the Centuaro 105 and the VCC-80/60 which is basically a OTOMATIC at a viable BR.
Really that whole 9.3/9.7 lineup is just bootleg top tier Italy but at a viable BR
