Italy could still get such systems as Skyguard-Aspide, Polyphem and MEI, maybe not top br level, but still something better than just OSA and OTOMATIC.
They have Kub as well as Hungary.
Im pretty sure its not even Kub-M, so wouldn’t even be top tier worthy even if it was Kub-M.
There is only one Aspide variant that could be implemented for Italy because all the other versions are stationary. Aspide 2000 would be interesting though, it allegedy has 25km range from the ground, and should be pretty manuverable. My only worry is that it cant be guided via SACLOS like other top tier systems, and must require a radar lock at all times (from what I know).
Would be pretty good but seeing where Gaijin is going the only really capable vehicle (at top tier) would have to be CAMM or maybe Aster 15/30.
Kub-M could and other vehicles could be great, just at a lower BR. Right now I dont think we really need anything at a lower BR though as we have great AA with the Osa-AKM and Strzala-10M.
I think we could benefit from a better vehicle to replace SIDAM 25, something like a Gepard. I think we will get this soon though with a OF-40 with Gepard turret (suggestion got forwarded)

I’ve also just found out that Hungary modernized their Kubs in some way:
Nah that wouldn’t mean anything ingame. They modernized the 2K12 vehicle, not the actual missile. Just a better radar and stuff.
This is the thing I was talking about, would be PERFECT for 9.3 or something (I meant 8.3, got the number wrong), I would love to play this vehicle. Fits perfectly into Italy playstyle

The 2A7HU is a sidegrade to the 2A7V imo. For nearly every advantage the 2A7HU has it also has a disadvantage.
So technically they have the shared best Leopard in game.
By ONE variant, I meant this. They dont actually use trailers, this was just a prototype. Im pretty sure Pakistan bought this specific variant, but in Italian service this remained a prototype.
Yeah, that one is a long overdue, though it would probably be added with same capabilities as Gepard at 8.3.

Personally I hate both the Leo2A7, the 61km/h top speed really angers me in addition to the invisible wall blocking the gun to see in the back of the tank.
As much as the AMV sucks I like it better than the 2A7 simply because of the slightly better speed, acceleration, and smaller profile

Idk I stopped grinding the Ariete line after the Ariete(p) and have no intention of ever buying the other Arietes.
They are just too dependant on the enemy team for my taste.
Yeah I mean I understand that. Personally I have spaded the entire Italy TT (helis, air, naval included) and of all the vehicles I gotta say that the Arietes felt some of the funnest for me. But it just requires a very particular playstyle, which will fail like 25% percent of the time.
If you want to “play” the Ariete, use the OF-40 Mk.2A and the OF-40 with MTCA engine, they have the exact same playstyle of the Ariete but at a much more viable BR. Unfortunately they got slightly nerfed by a -5km/h which you can notice pretty well and its annoying, otherwise that lineup is great especially with the Centuaro 105 and the VCC-80/60 which is basically a OTOMATIC at a viable BR.
Really that whole 9.3/9.7 lineup is just bootleg top tier Italy but at a viable BR

Lol, now that we are getting infantry, maybe they will get the swiss guard ?
Italy won’t get the gripen E, 2 reasons:
Hungary doesn’t have it, it only has the gripen C
Brazil is not in the Italian tech tree, only the AMX 1A1 is but that’s because it’s a joint made aircraft, meaning both countries at a point had it
From what I remember the Hungarian Gripens have been modernised to use the IRIS-T though
