Hungary doesn’t have anything for that area though
Italy doesn’t just need top tier, thats a very one sided view, they need more vehicles going from 7.x and up in general. As for the Otomatic, its too effective as a TD, you want it to go down then stop playing it as a TD, its the same problem with the Falcon and other SPAA even the Kugelblitz is the same way, their anti air abilities are hampered by the fact that people continue to play them as a TD.
Regardless the BR’s are clearly far too compressed and top tier needs decompression a lot which would help it a bit. Additionally Italy is set to get a new SPAA sometime before the end of the year, i believe BVVD stated next patch. It doesn’t fix the Oto being over BR’d but it will hopefully give them a better SPAA than the Osa and Oto.

Gaijin should atleast leave a single plane unique to Sweden ffs . Want gripen e grind Sweden. Sweden also got screwed because everyone got fox 3 as modification but Sweden got it as entire new plane when everyone was slinging fox 3
this is partially true they are nerfing the gripen sub par to irl but they do hate finnish air swedish air have many funny planes like the sk60 with proxy missiles at 7.0

Do any of you guys actually play Italy TT?
Personally I’ll say that the Gripen E will never come to Italian TT because neither Italy nor Hungary nor Romania operate them. The most advanced Gripen would be the MS20 B2 from Hungary.
As for all of this other stuff, Gaijin doesn’t even implement Italian vehicles that would fix many of the problems in-game, why do you expect them to implement vehicles from other nations? They already forgot about adding Hungarian props which they promised they would add. I really think they forgot about Hungary as a whole except the ground top tier, otherwise it is completely copy-paste.
As for Romania I have some that we could get the MiG-21 LanceR and other Romanian vehicles (I hope they implement it well, unlike sniper). Maybe we could get F-16AM, but I do want that, I want our F-16 given its proper Armament.
As for the top tier AA situation, many of us Italy mains have been fighting for awhile. I honestly thought they would give Britain and Italy CAMM last update with all the other vehicles of the EXACT same caliber.
I agree with you (I personally don’t find a problem with OTOMATIC, I find it to be as effective in AA and also at ground) BUT the 2S38 is a lower BR, can have full 3BM22 has better thermals, etc etc.
I think that maybe OTOMATIC could go down to 11.0. It honestly in my opinion would still perform the exact same because OTOMATIC playstyle is very specific and wouldn’t really change until a much lower BR. But 11.0 is the lowest it could go, any lower and you start seeing Leo1s which you can just maul

with Czech Air Force, thats kinda on SAAB. They offered us the E variant with much lower price than its direct competitor, F-35, and our goverment was going to go through with it until someone read through the contract and said “hey, this doesnt include ANY munitions whatsoever?”.
so were getting F-35s.
I love italy, 4.0 is my favorite BR it used to be 5.7 with the R3 and M18 especially on tunisia but well, they nuked that BR for me lol. I dont particularly find higher BR’s that interesting (atleast until we get the Draco) so for now i love my mixed Hungarian, Romanian, and Italian ground at 4.0 because i like WW2 esq vehicles. 6.7 is nice when theres no CAS up, and 8.0 has one of the better lineups imo, the OF 40 is a proper monster and the new Leo is very solid, just wish i was good with the R3T106 like i am the R3T20 lol.
If i didn’t play Italy I wouldn’t care about them getting their correct vehicles and abilities alongside balancing them.

basically. our country already operates the C variant (which is for whatever reason leased, not owned by our country) and air force was looking for replacement. all SAAB had to do was not screw it up.

Hungary has air defence, what do you mean they don’t have anything for that area? Same as Italy. Gaijin just doesn’t want Italy to be good. Gaijin seems to think Italy is just a worst version of Germany.

Well if Gaijin didn’t screw up minor nations, we wouldn’t have to adapt and overcome their stupidity. I see now that Gaijin punishes minor nation players because they are actually good. How the hell the Falcon is at 8.3 with no radar dish is beyond me, meanwhile the Gepard (which is far more oppressive) gets to maintain that 8.3 spot, with a radar. Hell, even Sweden got screwed over because that VEAK is practically the exact same thing, except that one is 8.7? Make it make sense!
So Gaijin needs to figure out that 2S38. Either move it to 11.3, or move the OTOMATIC down to 10.3, that is actually called balance. No reason why the OTOMATIC (now the worst highest SPAA in the game) should maintain that BR range, especially when they are useless for anything beyond a IFV/light tank role. Oh sure, the proxy rounds are great when the jet is flying towards you. Now let’s talk about how no smart CAS player goes within 10km of the map, especially since they get to abuse Kh-38s, Hammers, and AGMs, which the OTOMATIC IS USELESS AGAINST. And Italy has nothing to defend themselves anyways. The OSA and Strela are great for fighting 10.3 jets, not very useful against Su-30s and Su-34s.
Falcon is small and very nimble making it a versatile TD, ZA 35 is fast and can sit in spots before the enemy arrives then destroy them. The Veak is a terrible SPAA but sent to 7.7 because it lost the only useful thing it had for Anti air. The Leo Marksman is 8.7 because its a slower ZA 35 with APDS. The L 62 Anti II is 3.0 despite having a turret traverse of 12° as an spaa, its better as a TD, the LVKV is a better TD than spaa. Gaijin could add their correct ammo which would make them effective SPAA but thats not the case.
Sweden has 2 SPAA that arent TD’s the Asrad and LVBRVR, both have 200mm pen heat missile with about the same explosive mass as the British Rapier.
SPAA is given one advantage over other tanks, reduced SP cost, realistically the Otomatic will probably never go down because it will continue to perform well due to its TD ability, its not great to admit but its the problem, i agree the 2S38 is under BR’d but we both know its got the money bias lol. Regardless we’re going far off topic and i apologize for starting this.
Sorry, I misremembered the Swedish names. They have so many weird names and stuff that it’s hard to remember if I’m not looking at the screen. Which is funny because I used to be a Sweden main (not anymore since Sweden is a bit dreadful if you’re not playing tippy top tier).
Yeah, I’m aware of the money bias, it doesn’t help every noob buys the thing expecting to be a god, and then it drops the ratio, so it will always be at 10.3 (may even drop to 10.0) because noobs cannot play a premium as well as a veteran can play a tech tree.
But I agree, we strayed from the original path. I really want to see a Brazilian JAS39E, but who knows. Gaijin doesn’t know what they are doing. In all honesty, I could see them doing that, since they tend to just copy-pasta major vehicles, and Italy only seems to get copy paste with zero differences (looking at you Sniper). So fingers crossed Italy might get a good CAS plane that isn’t just the JAS39C.
I basically exclusively play Danske vehicles lol when i play sweden now, personally i think Spain would be a better option for Italy with stuff like the F-18 er EA-18 i dont fully remember. Realistically Im hoping the Gripen E isnt added anytime soon and rather the Gripen NG is added first before they screw up the gripens again.
