This is a thread to discuss some of my first experiences playing in air mode and the grind involved. I’d like to share some of my experiences playing with Sweden and also hear about your experiences depending on which nation you chose to grind with.
Three weeks ago I started grinding with the Swedish airline and I’m currently close to finally getting the Gripen. One thing I found interesting while grinding with Sweden is the difference in difficulty level between the low-tier and top-tier options. When I started, I felt like I was being beaten up by the police. I faced several problems, such as planes having difficulty turning, planes that easily had their engines destroyed, but what mainly tormented me at the beginning was the grind based on “get 1 kill, die right after and go to another match” repeatedly until I got a better plane. This continued until I finally got the BF-109. After getting it, the matches and the grind became much easier. In a few days I got the MiG-21 and I’m at a pace that I believe will get the Gripen in a few days.
Well with the new bomber update, Swedish bombers are quite great. The B18A at 2.7 tortures everything, and the T18B is great too with a 13.2mm and 20mm. I have not yet ordered the 57mm variant, but in the test flight it was quite reliable against B-29’s and Ju-88’s. I think the best planes for each rank are:
J11 (not the Chinese one): Two 12.7mm is great
B-18A: Yeah, it’s a faster and slightly worse B34
Personally, at this BR the bomber enqueuing times are too high, so the J26 wins
I think the Bf-109G-2/G6 Erla is the best, simply because A21’s don’t seem too good. I do definitely look forward to the A-3, since it has CCRP guidance computers at 4.3
One that I’m sure is also worthwhile is the SAAB-105G. I had a great experience with it after the BF-109. At first I was a little prejudiced against it because it only had 300 bullets, but once you get the hang of it, the gameplay becomes a lot of fun. ☕️
It wasn’t always an average of just 1. Sometimes I managed between 3 and 5 and took advantage of some ground targets. In the beginning, I earned between 5000 and 6000 when I was lucky. Then I stopped counting when I focused on investing in the new event jet. Of course, there was also the premium factor. with the BF-109 from the tree and the premium I gained even more
