I’m probably going to get hate for this, but honestly; I don’t care. I rarely use the forums and engage with this community because, in my experience, it is extremely toxic. However, because there appears to be no active policy against this, I’m making a post in the hope that it can get some attention.
I was enjoying messing around in a custom URL game, which had a Chillzone and a Killzone. Of course, I was in the Chillzone. I was pushing an NPC tank in a goofy way and saw an enemy player nearby so I shot them a few times with my HMG deliberately doing no damage, to attract their attention.
He then proceeds to destroy me. This is absolutely OK, I wouldn’t mind since I shot first, sure. But, this one player then spends the next 15 - 20 minutes killing me repeatedly over and over, deliberately J’ing out after doing so - so I cannot retaliate. This goes on for a while then he starts trolling in text chat about how I’m crying and attention seeking.
Now this is no one’s business or problem here, but I have some mental health issues that really mess with me regarding conflict with people. Part of the reason I’m making this post is because this has negatively effected me in such a way that I need to think, somehow, I can do something against this behaviour.
The trolling continued over and over, I didn’t respond at first but then it took its toll and I left.
I will be honest. This game has the most toxic community in any video game I’ve ever encountered. There are a lot of nice people but this kind of bullying shouldn’t be allowed. This is greifing in full. The problem is that as it was a custom game, this kind of behaviour isn’t directly against the game’s rules.
My argument is simple: this is “unsportsmanlike” and this individual, as per the gameplay of killing, J’ing out, in an area where both teams were chilling, knew exactly what he was doing and it really upset me.
Last point: if you’re going to post on this thread with something like “cry more” or “it’s not important” then you have no idea how this made me feel and just don’t post anything at all.
I did report this player and described the reason in the game, so I hope that Gaijin perhaps does something.
