Yeah, but this is rather easy to explain:
The high risk environment in which Merkavas are used for decades resulted in a highly specialized vehicle. Other armies have never faced the main threats for Merkavas: 100% lethal attacks with 100-300 gram heavy rocks thrown by kids. Other armies have no reliable data regarding the insane damages (and penetration values) of these rocks.
It is therefore somehow understandable that serious armies don’t see the need to consider to develop own or to buy foreign tanks dealing with threats which are limited to a certain area of the world.
I can’t imagine a single reason why people would dislike Israel.
