Godmode award requires getting a kill with a vehicle 5.3 BR below what it kills.
The reason I think it should be removed is it encourages people to spam low BR vehicles at high BRs which unbalance the match, it is normally a squad of 2-4 doing it at the same time, this almost guarantees that side to lose the match before it has even begun.
Awards should encourage good teamwork and working towards winning, not putting your team at a disadvantage for the 1/20 chance you get a kill.
Remove God mode and replace it with a award that encurages teamwork
I mean it’s literally throwing, what kind of person finds flying without seeing anyone then eating a missile you literally can’t avoid fun, at least back in the day jets had to engage with you, now it’s just dumb.
terrible bait but I’ll bite, that reward gives literally nothing lol, so maybe rework it to give better rewards like he suggested in his post, and no you’re not helping the team, you’re actively leaving the team down an actual player and by some one in a million lucky shot compounded with a braindead premium monkey you might get a single kill which would still ofc leave the team with far less potential then if you had, idk brought an actual top tier jet.
And the award for helping your squadmate get a kill and vice versa - forget what it is called…
Yes in that game you are, but I think the issue is in all the games where you do NOT get the award and are using up a slot that might have been filled with a more capable vehicle!!
Best Squad can be one of the most profiteable ways in War Thunder, using Best Squad wager you can guarantee or have high changes of winning big at the end of a few matches with a friend. But yes I’ll agree that the team work part in War Thunder “doesn’t exist” and for the most part solo playing will provide better rewards than working in a team.
It’s all fun and games, until I see players in Stuarts performing better than like half of the team. In my opinion, after a certain point, a team does not deserve winning.
On the other hand, I would gladly use a nerfed scouting feature on rank 1 light tanks, if you uptier them past like 3.3. And might as well a drone for artielly past 9.3 but that’s another story.

In air RB, rules for squad composition would eliminate the problem MUCH better.
In air arcade, the removal of god mode is a substantial income nerf. It is not that difficult to get the award in air arcade on a regular basis. As you have “unlimited” respawns, a prop in the lineup isn’t going to make much of a negative difference. Especially since arcade players often buy extra crew slots anyway.
The proposal is basically an economy nerf to arcade while likely not removing the basic problems of realistic. Lets face it, people don’t spam low tier for godmode but for CAS.
It’s just not that serious, the very rare sight of someone taking a downtiered tank is nowhere near a big enough factor toward victory for me to find it anoying
Things like half the team leaving is a 100 time more problematic
I think there should be a 3rd option, in that there should be a reciprocal award.
For God Mode the equivalent would be to destroy a vehicle 5.3 below yours.
Name it “here endeth the lesson” or “Nice try…” or something similar. I can think of a few names but they’re probably not “positive” terminology :)
There also shouldn’t be reduced rewards for destroying lower BR vehicles either… at least over a certain BR difference.
You say it’s “rare” in that it hardly ever happens. So the other 99% of the time that player is just removing tickets from your team since 1) they have a much harder time helping with kills and 2) they themselves are much easier to kill.
IMO, they are worse than ODL, because at least the ODL player does not remove tickets from the team by being easily killed.
