Gneisenau, the potential problem child of naval?

I didn’t scroll down far enough to see your comment, seemingly great minds think alike…

Gneisenau may start with 20-25 seconds, she won’t stay that way though. She literally has so little and so weak power assistance there is no way she could achieve even 40 seconds without some sort of mythical teleportation powers of the crew to move shells and charges from each component of the autoloader.

In my opinion, this vessel as a premium is like a money trap, or a ‘fair’ trade if you will — give the players a obvious powerful premium at the highest battle rating it could be in exchange you give Gaijin money.

Sincerely if the Gneisenau perform better than the Scharnhorst and it get a good amount of money to Gaijin, maybe they’ll pay attention to naval and fix some problems and focus part of their efforts in making this gamemode more appealing.

a higher fire rate for bismarck isnt that bad since she is gonna be outclassed by yamato iowa etc

Not necessarily.

context will be key, but I think Yamato might be a bit of a glass canon

thats only if they model her armor brittle like IRL which i feel they arent gonna

nonsensical answer.

I don’t think it really a problem. Since hornet’s sting update, Scharnhost’s surviving ability was serious nerfed, any BBs in 7.0, just aim scharn’s turret 1 or 2 and cause fire on ammo elevator, then can easily explosion its mag. So I think we can do the same thing on Gneisenau, and it will become glass cannon. For 69I, I think every naval players know how to explosion a Kron : )

So, for the new premium ships, they only have powerful 38cm cannon, but poor survival performance, maybe that’s the reason why gaijin choice them as the premium ships in top tier. It is pretty balance for them as the BR7.0 premium ships.

but this is gaijin we are talking about they’ll probably make it 30s

look what they did to the JMSDF ships like the Chikugo, in real life the ships can fire their entire rounds (of like 400-800) in WT you can barely fire 20 and the guns overheat

For me the move of GJ to introduce the KMS Gneisenau with its “none” Historical equipment does not make sense.
Its clear that the 38cm Guns of the Tirpitz and Bismarck were never mounted. The 28cm turret was used as coastal artillery in Norway.

I would have thought that GJ would bring Tirpitz (1944) as premium, while Bismarck as regular TT. Tirpitz was not only faster, but had torpedoes, and way more flak.

Chikugo’s 3inch cannon was designed before WWI, they just add auto-reloading system on it, and its version don’t have seawater cooling system, not like OTO 76cannon which was cooled by seawater.

So a 1970’s ship’s gun was made in ww1 lmao u dunno what ur on about mate

would you please provide a source to that?
