i got the same feeling when i got my first flanker, it was HUGE and i crashed everytime i multipath bcz its HUGE.

Highly doubt we will see these aircarft getting new missiles. Im not even sure if either of them ever carried the 77-1 but knowing gaijin theyre just gonna add a new variant with those missiles so youll have to grind for them again (Most likely the SU-35 and MiG-35).
SU-27SM would actually be very competitive with the 77-1 as it already is the best TWR in the russian tech tree (slightly being beaten by the J-11B). So it would have really similar performance if not better than the SU-30SM with the only downside being its radar. That would be straight up 14.3 material.
As for the MiG… I think its better off staying at 13.3.

Not really. The only thing going for it is the amount of IR missiles. The airframe is garbage and I don’t need to talk about R-77.

riddle me this, if the SU-30SM is doing so well while being a heavier SU-27 with less thrust and having R-77-1 then what do you think a SU-27SM is gonna be like with R-77-1?

Su-30SM gets a huge boost in awarenes because of the goated radar, as well as ability to launch Fox-3s at extreme angles. But i am not saying that Su-27SM would be hot garbage if given R-77-1s. For a 14.0 aircraft (can’t see it at 14.3 with N001) it will be an extremely solid thing.

I think normal su-27sm should be 14.3 with only r77s… so su-27sm3 with more r77s and upgraded ones (r771) should be at a even higher br lol

Well, GE is a victim of meta. On paper it is a 14.3 material, but current state of AIM-120 makes it pretty much a punching bag. This can easily be fixed with AMRAAM buffs and racks that will give it 4 more AIM-120s. With Su-27SM you can’t do anything to fix it main issue that handicaps it in many ways - very bad radar. Unless ofc you can force gaijin into programming networking capabilities that flankers have irl
