So let me get this straight, you think that a Mig-29 fitted with a HMD and R-73s going against an F-4S is close to a fair match up?
no? I also dont think the f4s facing 11.0s is fair. Thing is, this game is compressed. Ask for decompression. In the meantime I don’t see a problem with exchanging the R27ERs for R73s since that is what the jet irl was built to use from the get go… its like not giving the phoenix to the f14. Same exact thing.
Exactly, ask for decompression, instead of making the situation worse by putting R-73s on a 12.7 Mig-29
I am the biggest advocate for decompression on this forum, perhaps in this game. I am also going to ask for R-73s on the 29 as that makes sense both logically and from a game stand point…
You can’t advocate for both when you’re harping that the Mig-29 should stay at 12.7 with 6 IRCCM missiles in the current state of top tier compression, which is why I said you’re creating another F-14 situation…
Sure can, regardless of what you think.
No… What I said was is that decompression should happen, but if not the 29 still fits at 12.7 with r73s…it is not 13.0 worthy and it really isnt an issue to have these missiles.
The Mig-29G does fine at 13.0, if it’s a full uptier it would get slammed, at its own BR and below it slaps people around.
Not if it’s contradicting each other
Not really, the Su-27 is just mid/average at the BR and its essentially a purely better MiG-29G. I do fine in these jets but can recognize the MiG-29G is on the lesser end of 13.0 jets along with stuff like the 9M only planes
It’s not contradicting to have both an ideal circumstance in mind and also a “realist” idea.
Then explain how I have a nearly 2.0 KDR in the Mig-29G, it’s completely fine
I don’t care how you do in it. I’ve flown almost every jet at the BR.
How people do in it is exactly the thing that Gaijin takes when addressing Battle Ratings. If a 13.0 Mig-29 with R-73s is already doing fine, do you seriously think Gaijin will keep the 9.12a with R-73s at 12.7?

I wasn’t talking about battle ratings and how gaijin decides them. I was telling you what BR it should be considering the current BR compression and how effective it would end up being.
-
Even if I was, you being one singular person does not define a vehicle. I am much more confident in my educated assessment based on both playing it but also almost every other vehicle that you could call its peers…the only exception to this being the J-8F and the Mirage 4K essentially
Not having 27ER? Hello?
It’s still a Battle Rating, funnily enough it’s the most important part of a plane’s performance in-game and the Devs are the one’s who decides based on the average statistics that this plane has on every player (shocking, I know.) I really couldn’t care less what your opinion is on the current matter, since Gaijin is the one that decides the battle-ratings, and I’m using THEIR logic on why it wouldn’t stay at 12.7. Since like it or not, players like you or me don’t decide what Battle Rating a plane has.
Did it ever occur to you that 90% of my kills were with R-73s or R27T/ETs?
R-27T/R is nowhere near as effective as R-27ER. R-73 are not banned south of 13.0.
Ok, and? IR R-27s have a different (objectively better) playstyle since the enemy never knows you’re shooting at them from 5 miles away. They’re still effective irregardless of what you think.
Since you say you play all the vehicles around this Battle Rating, you should know by now how often 13.0s get dragged into top tier matches, you’d be incredibly lucky to get more than 5 downtiers per hour.
Yes, R27ET is very effective. R27T on the other hand is just alright. The range being much shorter has less of an ability to be unnoticed by you getting closer.
I’ve been playing 13.0 almost primarily lately and I get downtiers or 13.7/13.3 games far more often than I get 14.0 games. In a 13.7 game there can only be 4 13.7s, in a 14.0 game there can only be 4 14.0s. All that said i have no idea how this relates to gaijin not banning r73s just because the BR is lower than 13.0.
And I’ve still been doing this good in a Mig-29G, because the R-73s help it MASSIVELY.
Where are you going with this? I’m talking about the ENTIRE +1.0 Bracket along with other 13.0s that the Mig-29G faces 90% of the time, not just exclusively 14.0 or 13.7.
