Give the mig-29 9-12A/B R-73

The mig-29 9-12B feels awful to play, it should be fantastic wvr with R-73’s and it’s hmd, but in game it does not have it’s R-73’s so you are forced to crutch off of the R-27ER and scavenge kills with R-60’s.

I think the solution is to remove the R-27ER and give it R-73’s, it would rebalance it to be better at what it should be good at, which is wvr, without raising it’s BR, as it would fill a similar gap to the F-15A, with it’s aim-9M’s at 12.7.

Wouldn’t be balanced and the 9.12 in the russian TT was added in order to give and raise the BR of the 9.13

It would be equivalent to the F-15A so 12.7/13.0 ideally

It’s not even close

I think you’re forgetting that R-73 is trust-vectoring

and the 9M has like triple the range?

9M doesn’t have longer range

How?

There’s a difference between Theorical range and practical range

??? What on earth, how can anyone believe this?

How is it not even close?

Because R-73s at 12.7 don’t make up for it’s weaknesses

I don’t want to make it stronger I want to make it enjoyable to play.

That would require a FM buff, rather than a missile loadout buff

No, the flight model isn’t the problem, the play style you are forced into playing because of it’s backwards loadout makes the hmd, the special unique thing about the plane, completely useless.

A competent player at that BR will still preflare your R-73s and gut you in the merge

Ok? Dogfighting is fun, win or lose.

Go play the mig-29 and come back then maybe you’ll have something of value to say

doesn’t change anything, 9.12 doesn’t need R-73

9.13 didn’t had his R-73 for years and never had an issue with it
