Its a completely* different vehicle.
Different hull. Its a Spartan hull, not a Scimitar hull (a big point of the change)
Modified turret I grant you.
Different drive train.
Same gun okay fair there.
Has Thermals.
IIRC has a LRF now too from what I remember of watching interviews from back in Afghan use.
Bar the CR2F and Warrior
But yes, its something annoyingly gatekept on a lot of British tanks
I put a lot of work into bug reporting it so id hope so.

CAP eats very well in these events.

without the cope cage is gonna be the play for the vehicle. slat armour doesnt work too good in WT and the scimis strength is in mobility, not armour.
(even tho the armour is deceptively good, will hold up against shilkas and so on)

There are 3 scimitars and 1 sabre in the files and Gaijin makes the most unique one out of them an event vehicle.
I also wonder, will it have the blast protection bonus of the IRL version? Kind of the whole point it got made lol.
Speaking of event light tanks in the British tree, reminder that the StrikeShield APS on the CRV Block 2 is still non-functional 7 months after release. Surely the scimitar will be implemented better…

Yeah. Im still waiting to see Uralmash-1, Obj 416, Obj 770 or other interesting and weird soviet prototypes in events. It’s a real shame that gaijin is “allergic” to adding such interesting vehicles after removing crafting events.

Wait, isn’t Scimitar Mk.2 has fuel tank protection against explosion?
sabre is more unique as its a crossbreed of the CVRW and CVRT.
this is just a new hull but the rest was near enough the same as LEP early hulls
